Good book
It is a good book for baby recipes. If you can cook and know how, I don’t think you are going to find anything new here, but it is a very good guide for new mothers/cooks and it is classified by age groups.
Great cookbook
Simple and healthy recipes for babies and toddlers. Directions are also straightforward. Bought this book for me (I have a 4-month old who will be ready for solids soon) and got a copy for my sister who is always on the move with her toddler.
Love It!
This recipe book is fantastic! The sandwich recipes are great! So many good ideas, I highly recommend!!
Nice looking
Truthfully a bit too basic for me and I like my recipes to be even a notch more healthy. Yet it has some neat lunch ideas and I appreciated the smoothies additions and I was inspired by the photographs.
The book is an essential gift for a mom-to-be.
This book is a great help for a first-time mom. Very informative, but not overfilled, just right what you need to know. Written in a simple, down to earth language and packed with tips and tricks, but again everything is useful, practically on a daily basis.I have three kids, a schooler and two toddlers. And who would believe, but I found that I’m running out of ideas what to cook so all three would eat without giving me a headache. In the local library I borrowed the book, and just by browsing it in the library I started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.Even by going through baby food pages I’ve picked up some ideas.I love the design of the book, the way the information is divided, loads of the photos, though not every recipe is accompanied by one.I’m going to purchase the book for myself and I see it as an essential gift for a mom-to-be.
My kids and I are really enjoying this cookbook! I’ve made a number of recipes in here – pretty much all of the minis recipes. The muffins, the spanish tortilla bites and the various mac and cheese bites are a huge hit. The recipes aren’t overly complicated and generally contain ingredients that I would have on hand (no obscure veggies or flours etc) I double (or more) the batches for my 12 month old twins and freeze most of it. I can easily pull a few bites out for each of them in the am and they’re perfect for lunches (even when we’re not on the go!). My only recommendation would be to get some mini-parchment paper lines…. scrubbing baked mac and cheese out of mini muffin pans is not a lot of fun, and the egg recipes are even harder to scrub out (even after hours of soaking). But once I used the liners that became a moot issue (note: I did spray the pan with oil but my pan isn’t non stick it just wan’t enough and there was still a lot of sticking).
This is my go to baby/toddler food cookbook. I am a working mom who loves to cook but spending time everyday to prepare food for my daughter takes too much of my valuable time. I love that this book gives me lots of yummy and healthy options that I can make in large batches when I do have time and then I store them in my deep freezer. Our nanny can pick and choose all different kinds of meals to feed my daughter during the day. This is a great cookbook for someone who wants to make homemade food for their kid but doesn’t have the time everyday of the week. It provides lots of inspiration to create your own twist on the existing recipes as well. I see myself using the ideas from this book for many years to come. Will also be great when I start packing her lunches for preschool!
This is an excellent cookbook for babies and toddlers with beautiful, vibrant photos and illustrations. The recipes are easy to make and encompass a wide variety of tastes, spices and textures. I’m a big fan of the “minis” chapter; I love the simplicity and efficiency of using a mini muffin pan to make a batch of little nibbles you can put in the freezer and quickly toss in a bag for an impromptu picnic or playdate. Already I’ve turned to it again and again to make various healthy, delicious meals for my toddler. They’re just the right size for little hands, they’re incredibly portable, and you can pack all kinds of veggies into them, especially the mac and cheese bites. Her current favourite are the curried lentil-rice cakes. The spanish potato tortilla bites and arancini have also disappeared rapidly, as well as the banana muffins and fruit salad bowls. This book would make a great baby shower gift or for parents looking for ideas to move on from purées and cereals to toddler-friendly fare.
Love this book–I’m not sure why it isn’t more widely available! It’s full of lots of tasty to-go type food items that are mostly baked in a mini muffin pan. My one year old loves all of the muffin and meat recipes. The only drawback is that my little guy doesn’t care for eggs, and this book has quite a few egg-based recipes. Would recommend this book anyway, especially if your child does not have an aversion to eggs.
