I didn’t want this product in order to use it for baby bottles. I wanted it because I do not have a dishwasher, and while I don’t really mind washing dishes by hand, I do find that having the right tools definitely makes it a quicker, easier process. I do a lot of home-canning, and I frequently re-purpose oddly shaped condiment jars and bottles to use for my home-made sauces and relishes. The brushes in this baby bottle set will be a big help in getting those re-purposed containers clean. The bottle brush is also a good fit for reaching into my old Tupperware salt shaker, and the tiny straw brush not only does a great job at cleaning drinking straws and sippy cups (grandchildren), it also fits through the shaker holes and of my salt shakers, and gives them a good scrubbing, so that I am sure any built-up layers of air grease and salt powder are gone. It fits to scrub inside the rim of snap-on plastic lids. The bottle brush is also just right for cleaning the feed tube of my food processor. The nipple brush is the perfect size for cleaning the prescription medication bottles that I re-purpose for keeping garden seeds, pins, buttons, cat treats, toothpicks, and anything else that will fit. And I love the compact little storage case. It is so cleverly designed to open out and transform into a drying rack. However, I think it was intended mainly for drying light-weight, plastic bottles; with heavier items, I have to be very careful how I balance them. It even accommodates air-drying the brushes. The bottle brush arrives in two sections: head, and handle. They snap together to form a very sturdy unit. But when I wanted to separate them in order to fit them back inside the storage case, I was not able to work the squeeze device. I know this is mostly due to the arthritis that has taken away my grip strength, but I also know that I am not the only person with arthritis who washes jars and bottles — even baby bottles. Maybe the manufacturer can work on a connection that has an easier release. Overall, I am very pleased with this kit. It is one of those products that I know will be used for more and more purposes the longer I have it. I think this is a very helpful and good product.
