Perfect kit
I found there was foam âCâ looking piece inside that were not listed in the Amazon description, but I saw in the usage instructions that it is a door stop . Perfect kit.
These were exactly what I needed for keeping my grandson out of things. Easy to apply and difficult for babies and toddlers,
FATAL FLAW with the outlet covers… my 2 year old quickly saw how they opened and was able to slide the handle down and pull it out in no time! so..those dont work well…. Plus the more simple drawer tie things are kind of hard to figure out at first, but once my 2 year old saw those too she figured it out on her own pretty quickly … Maybe my little one is crafty. But skip the ties and definitely skip the outlet covers.
The pros: This kit comes with a variety of child proofing options. There are 2 types of latches, corner guards and socket locks. Plus a door finger guard.It is easy to install and sticks well to various surfaces so long as they are smooth.Issue:The adhesive is strong and damages the surface when taking off. And I did this pretty much immediately because the alignment was not right for one. And still thr surface was damaged :(The Cons: the cabinet locks latch is difficult to snap back (see end part of the video). It opens fine, but when you need to close it back, it doesn’t snap on like the 3M ones.The other cabinet lock with the grey inside is weird-the manual is unclear about how to open it, so I have ended up not using those. Also the grey color is a bit off, wish it was just white.The corner guards are nice and soft, but dark purple in color. Would have been good to have these transparent or white may be.But even then, I do recommend this set for the multiple options it has for the price.
Quality baby proofing kit
The baby is coming soon so I figured we need some baby proofing! Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about babies and have never been around them much so if I sound like I have no idea what Iâm doing.. itâs true!So Iâm really glad this came with instructions an a small description of the basic function and features (ie what type of proofing is accomplishes) because I wouldâve been completely lost.The corner pieces for furniture and nice and squishy and come with stickers to adhere. Iâm not really sure what a door guards purpose is still but thereâs that. The outlet covers have a neat tab that pulls out to make removing it easy for adults. The cabinet type door latch took some getting used to and reading the directions multiple times to get it unlocked and figure out how to move the sizing. (Also, there are way more corner pieces, outlets, latches than my pictures shows) Iâm happy with this kit though and feel mostly prepared. ð
