My kids love this toy!
I got this toy as a gift for my 9 month old for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. The cactus is made of a soft material and is user friendly for children. One button plays all the songs as the cactus dances. There are so many upbeat songs that it plays so your child wonât get bored. The voice record option is really funny, my older child loves to use this feature braces it plays back your voice but very high pitched.We all enjoy playing with this toy, itâs fun for the whole family.
Fun Toy but with Some Glitches
The Dancing Talking Cactus is really fun and my kids love it. It sings, talks, and mimics what you say, which keeps them entertained. However, it does glitch occasionally, and the overall quality isnât the highest. Despite these issues, itâs still enjoyable and brings a lot of laughs, so Iâd give it 4 stars. Itâs good enough for some fun moments, even if itâs not perfect.

Didn’t work properly.
It seems to be hit and miss with these cactuses. There are a bunch of listings and variations. Some people get a good one and some don’t. This one didn’t work for me. The recording function worked a couple of times and then quit, the pre-recorded songs played for only a few seconds (even Happy Birthday, which was super annoying), and I couldn’t get it to go past the first few songs.We bought it so we could give back one that our friends had lent us for our toddler. Unlike this version, their version has a built-in rechargeable battery. I’ve ended up going with one of those instead, even though it means we may not be able to replace the battery when it eventually dies. It works well but it could be just luck. The songs are the same, or at least the first few that I could compare. Happy Birthday plays all the way through.

My 2 yr old grandson loved it! He danced and laughed at it. We got silly and jumped around and sang a maroon 5 song that was on there. LOL fun times for Memaw and Zeke. 🙂 However,….. parents couldn’t hear each other when the dancing cactus was playing certain songs. Some of the songs seemed to be a little louder than others. it was difficult to hold conversations while he was changing songs in the middle of the living room. hahahahahaha oh well it was his bday weekend. This toy would be perfect if there was a volume button. All in All… it will be a hit with your toddlers.
I love this cactus. They now come in different flavors but this one has all the good’ol version sounds. What I don’t like is that an old cactus used to turn as well and that was cool. This one does not. However, this is one of the only gifts that I know you can give to a toddler, or a kid without parents hating you for it. (yes, the sound). I am a parent of 3 so I know. lol
This is so much fun. My only complaint is the music choices are not familiar to me other than the first Happy Birthday song on it. With use, it has slowed down it’s response time when repeating back what is being said to it, but it is still cute and the kids love playing with it.
I purchased 4 of these for gifts this year and each recipient LOVED them! Yes they are for children, but even the adults were loving the sweet voice that came out of the cactus. Crazy dog lovers too, such a cute interaction with pets! You will not be disappointed with this little fella, if anything you will be the super hero for purchasing this!
