These lids are very handy as every summer I would make a batch of strawberry jam and store then in Mason jars. It can get sticky and annoying using metal lid, replacing the Mason jar’s metal lid and band with this plastic cap keeps everything clean and tidy. Recommended!
Mason Jar lids are great!
I wanted to buy the mason jar lids because there are times I use mason jars that do not require a canning lid/seal (which are also a pain if you don’t need them). I saw these by chance on Amazon and thought, “Ah huh!!” I have used them right away and they are great! These particular ones fit wide mouth jars. They are leakproof and fit wonderfully. I highly recommend these for anyone who wants to use a mason jar to hold items that they are not canning/preserving. Warning, do NOT use these for canning, this is not their purpose.

Unscrews a bit if bumped around. Expensive but I needed asap.
The price is higher that what you’ll find in your local double-u mart. It wasn’t an option for me. I needed wide-mouth plastic lids on short notice, it shipped with prime. I have some to the same brand for 2-3 years. Satisfied.I used them to carry lunches to work . They are leakproof … as long as they aren’t “rustled” too much. If they are tight in a full bag and don’t bump around it won’t unscrew, they can be held upside down and won’t leak. But hit the plastic lid too much and it will starts to loose.I’ve had leaks on tight lids when I reused cheap “mason” jars of store bought spaghetti sauce. There isn’t much tolerance so they might not work on all brands of jars. I used them on Bernardin and Balls without issues.It’s plastic, one piece, durable and doesn’t rust. I don’t use them on hot jars. I don’t use them in the microwave/oven. I don’t use them for canning, just transport, refrigerated or dried goods storage.
Great Metal Lid Alternative
I really like these Mason lids for everyday use. The canning lids tend to dent and rust whereas these plastic lids last longer, plus they’re more convenient as they’re one piece. They’re great for transporting liquids and storing dry goods.
Do exactly as they say
Great quality, feel solid and fit perfectly. Not much else to say but these make using mason jars for just about everything much more convenient. Haven’t had any problems with leaks, even filled with water upside down and giving a shake. Easy to clean as any other lid. Thick plastic that doesn’t seem like it’s going to break.

I use these lids for Classico jars to store items in my fridge. Great for storing cut up green onions in a glass jarâ¦lasts for over a week.
I love these Ball lids for both my wide and regular canning jars. The grips on these make it easy open. Love the 1 piece lid. No leakage. Easy to clean, goes in dishwasher too. Worth buying. I make overnight oats in my wide moth jars and vinaigrette in my narrow/regular glass jars so the lids get daily use and hold up very well.
