Non-oily & thin
This brand is fantastic, especially for kids who are re-applying the sunscreen several times. The lotion is slightly oily but goes away in about 10 minutes and even after a few applications, it did not feel like tons of coats. Additionally, when applying the lotion it does not leave a thick layer on the skin. It gets absorbed quite well. Thicker lotion doesn’t mean better quality. The tear-resistant feature is true to its word. Definitely a good buy especially when on sale otherwise it can be on the little pricier side.
Huge tube at a great price
I ordered this because I know and love the banana boat brand. The SPF 50 is also completely appealing, especially when you’re applying it to kids. It’s water resistant to 80 minutes, apparently. I was downright astonished at the low price of this, the tube is 240 ML and you normally pay much more for something of that size, particularly from a name brand. I can recommend this heartily.
Great sunscreen
The Banana Boat Kids Sunscreen Lotion, SPF 50+, 240mL size is fantastic. It is a bit liquidy but it goes on nicely and dries quickly when applied. I find the low level of scent as being non-offensive and great for my sensitive nose. I’ve used banana boat for years and this holds up to the high expectations I have. Overall, I definitely recommend.
Non greasy finish
This sunscreen is not greasy and does not leave white cast. It has very hight UVA and UVB protection from the sun. This is a chemical sunscreen which is more water resistant than physical sunscreen. It’s better to wash it off using oil based cleanser.
Works Well
This sunscreen works well. It really rubs into your skin nicely. I like that it is unscented. My eyes donât sting when I use it. My skin feels soft afterwards. While it says childrenâs on it, anyone can use this. I love that it is 50 SPF. This is a fantastic item.
Not greasy or sticky
This is my go to brand for sunscreen for my 6 year old. He would live outside in summer if we let him, so we got through A lot of sunscreen. I’ve tried a few different brands, but always end up having an issue with them. Some are too sticky and kiddo gets dirt or sand encrusted on his skin, some feel really greasy and leave gross slick handprint marks across anything he touches, and the aerosol ones are convenient but a huge safety hazard in my house with tile floors. LolThis stuff is a cream so you do have to rub it on, but it incorporates and sinks in really fast, it’s not super thick, and again not sticky or greasy! I also don’t mind the smell, as I can’t stand coconut scented products so that is another point towards this one
Child-friendly
I was using a spray sunscreen on my 4 year old before. This is actually easier because my son hated the spray. He always said it was cold or scared it would go in his face. This goes on so nicely. I also like that it is water resistant. This claims to last up to 80 minutes in the water, which is pretty good. I always reapply sunscreen anyways when we have been in the water for a long time. It is not scented, which is good for sensitive kids.
