We had a cheap drug store thermometer before but we didn’t think it was accurate and with the pandemic needed a non touch better version. This thermometer is awesome! Has more features than we use (tracking temp and recording) but it works great, is consistant and has a night mode so the blue light isn’t bright. It has adult and kid mode and does forehead and ear temperature, which seem to be the most accurate. Our old one did arm pit and was always inconsistent. This was a good family choice. The batteries have lasted too, so thats nice!
Doesnât work.
Daughter has a high fever and this thermometer is reading that she has no fever at all. Do not recommend at all

Honestly, I have never left a review before, but this is the most inaccurate thermometer⦠will never get the same reading even when taken twice in the same spot right after the other. This device jumps several degrees apart in either direction each time. I would not recommend for the priceâ¦or even at all

My toddler son was recently sick and at night times his temp increases. I want the contact less temperature measurement when my baby is sleeping and I don’t want to wake him up from sleep. I can also use in ear when he is awake. It’s always good to have flexibility. The other part I love about this is it has physical button to select the options. Change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit is just a press of a button and not select options on the screen. The same applies to changing the temperature mode. You have options to do a contact less head temperature for 1) Adult 2) Baby 3) Room temperature. It also has a toggle button to turn off the sound. I leave it open, but it give choice for ppl. The temperature measurement on the screen is color coded. It gives visual que to know if everything is fine. Red is fever and Green for everything looks good and the screen is backlit. That means you don’t have to turn on the lights when you take temperature of your kid when sleeping.Highly recommend and I am one happy mom.
When kids are sick and sleeping soundly there is no way that I am going to wake them up to check their temperature. But sometimes that is needed and a no contact thermometer is the way to go. This one is a great option and it is so versatile!It has child and adult mode and it can also be used as a monitor for checking temperature in the ear. All of the options have worked well for us and it will even change from Celsius to Fahrenheit which is handy. It will read your temperature within seconds and if you have a fever the screen will light up red when it says the temperature to tell you that the temp is too high. Once your temperature is in an acceptable range it will go back to green when it says the temperature.

This a a handy thermometer to have around. It not only takes the temperature of people but you can take room temperatures. To take a persons temperature you simply aim the device at the forehead and hold it about 1-1/12 inches away. Press the button on the back and hold for about 30 seconds. I am not sure how accurate it is but the room temperature was within a degree of the furnace thermometer on our wall so I assume it is fairly accurate. It is much easier to use for people than sticking a thermometer in your mouth and holding it there for a minute. Especially for kids. I think this is a good thermometer and pretty accurate. I would recommend.
