Risky
Obviously glass breaks and we know when buying this set that itâs a risk. I wanted my son to learn that if he throws dishes there is a consequence of breakage so that he would learn not to do it and I thought this would be a good way to introduce the risks. But the glass used in this set breaks on impact into countless small pieces, as well as sharp tiny shards and a prickly sandlike powder, all of which cascade everywhere and are very difficult to clean up. If your child is strapped into a high chair and canât get into the mess or you have another adult around to keep the child safe during 30 mins of cleanup then I guess itâs manageable but I canât recommend it to any parent on their own with a child who is not strapped into a secured high chair. The pictures show the biggest pieces, which are themselves ready to crumble.

I really loved the bowl and plate from this set- the suction does work very well – that said nothing is fool proof and after a couple falls the bowl has completely shattered. I wish this company had an option to buy individuals because the bowl really was the star of the show.The cup I could take or leave- I have other cup options that come at a much easier price point and in all honesty the silcone on the cup doesn’t stay on the best anyway so I only use it when all my other options are dirty.The plate has a nice curve on the edge to help keep food in- it seems to be at just the right angle to where my son can get in and out with food still on the fork which can sometimes be a challenge when he is using his ceramic plates. The ceramic plates are from another company that also have a silicone ring on the bottom and while they don’t suction they do stop him from sliding the plate and help with impact- they came at the same price point but it was 4 plates compared to here where you get 1 glass, 1 plate and 1 bowl. I like both my ceramic plates and glass plate.Then the bowl, the star of the show- really the only reason I bought this set in the first place. It was perfect- the perfect size, the perfect height, depth, you name it. The suction, just as the plate worked very well- but that said- the reason for needing said suction is because kids will be kids and after a few falls the bowl completely shattered. I will give the company props because as advertised it is similar to car window glass, when it shatters it breaks into little safe shards verse something that is going to give you a nasty cut- I wont be able to say the same when the time finally comes for one my ceramic plates.I give it 3 stars because the cup is a miss for me, the plate is a win but there are other options on the market at a better price point, but the bowl is a big winner- and sadly for me its the one thing that broke. =/
Love the glass toddler set! It just doesn’t stick well. We do NOT use a dishwasher, everything is hand washed with castile soap or an all natural solid dish soap.
These are my favorite dishes that we began using when baby was 6 months old. They CAN still break but they are pretty hardy and the risk of breaking is worth it to me to not have to worry about plastics/heating/leeching etc The grip is good as well until my baby figured out that the tab helps unstick it. We use these everyday
