I have mixed feelings about this kit. The size is small and compact. It is lightweight and would be easy to carry. It absolutely has some items that would be very useful in an emergency, or for an injury while out and about.I do love the addition of steri-strips to pull wound edges closed, and the gloves. The whistle looks cheap and like a toy, yet it really does give a nice sharp sound. The last picture I posted shows the tape, which is such a tiny, tiny amount. Of all things that can really be useful in an emergency, I would say tape is one of the top items. Saline pods are better than pads. So⦠yes, if you have the right kind of wound or injury, this would be great. And definitely phenomenally better than nothing.I just always think these companies could put more thought into what would be helpful in a real emergency ⦠like a few antibiotic ointment packets. The saline pods. More silk tape. But, you get what you get, and this kit is fairly typical.Itâs an okay kit, and good for the price.
just what I needed.
This first aid kit is great for camping and hiking. It would even work perfectly for your car. It has the basics of a first aid kit you’d need for minor emergencies. It zips open completely flat and has small pockets and pouches to organize the items. It has many supplies, including band aids, gloves, burn gel, gauze, tweezers and more. It has just a little bit of each supply. The items are sealed and sterile when needed. It also has a plastic whistle if you need to call for help. The best part is the kit can easily attach to the size of my backpack with the velcro loop. Its easy to access an doesn’t take up extra space in my bag.
As a mom I have quite a few first aid kits of all different sizes but none just seem to work for that “on the go” need for children. This little case is perfect, I appreciate the bright red color so it stands out amongst other items in my bag and car. The handle is also great because I can clip it to my belt or fanny pack when we’re outdoors for the day. There is a nice variety of items in it for emergencies. Now my accident prone very sensory sensitive kid can be treated for any tiny wounds as quickly as possible without scrambling for bandages. The items are strong but not so strong that they hurt his skin when taken off.
