Not Functioning/Unreliable
Unit is supposed to beep when turned on and when temperature reading has been achieved – but my unit doesn’t beep, at all. Successive temperature readings are highly variable and typically on the low side, i.e. <36.0C, except for random readings that indicate that I have a fever (which I do not). Same behaviour when tested with my wife. I downloaded the online PDF version of the instruction manual for this model (227DI) and found that the definitions of "normal temperature range" for readings using the various measurement modes differ between the electronic and the printed version!
Battery died on second use.
Product worked well but they put in a substandard battery so be prepared to change it early. It uses a CR2032 but I put in a CR2025 and it works well.
Super fast!
Love this thermometer! Itâs so fast at measuring your temperature! But I must say the beeping when itâs ready is really hard to hear!
Not accurate
Bought to have a backlit oral thermometer for dark room. Unfortunately measures a full .5 to .8 degrees higher than to other brand oral thermometers I have – which both read the exact same measurement every time. Sad that this is the best a Canadian company selling a “premium” thermometer at twice the price of others can provide. I did read the reviews stating similar observations, I bought it anyway. Mistake. Will return.
