Old fashioned Solution
I saw a lot of negative reviews about the transportation of the parcel and was very worried. However, it was delivered in a box with an airbag without damage. The thermometer itself is good – there are both Celsius and Fahrenheit
2 pcs ordered- one broken, other didnât work
The packaging was adequate and the carton indented but one of the thermometers was smashed. The other, no matter how much it was shaken to consolidate the liquid, did not work at all. Add to that – the Amazon app logic for return or replacement or defective simply indicates the item cannot be returned. There is no way to address defective or damaged in this case, it just loops you to the ânot eligible for returnâ page. A simple purchase should not be a hassle!
Solid and well made
I bought these to send to the medical clinics in Cuba, because of the blockade most of the clinics do not have even the basic medical equipment. I wasn’t sure if thermometers with mercury were allowed on airplanes so i bought these because these do not have mercury in them/
Accurate
This arrived defective. Called the number on the brochure. First respondent took my info, but no further reply as promised. Called the second day and got service from a different rep that couldn’t see a record of my first interaction. This time was better service and a replacement was couriered out promptly. Good accurate thermometer.

Im a prime member, and by using this option I needed to get the item quickly (after tomorrow) MY CHILD GOT SICK. Well, yes, it came pretty quickly, but literally broken!!!!!!!! Now I’m asking myself a question, WHAT AM I PAYING FOR?? Just for the item to come quickly? Not even being able to use it after it came????? MERCURY COLUMN IS BROKEN, I didn’t even take it out of the box because it’s dangerous. This item is non-returnable due to policy BUT I NEED MY MONEY BACK!!! Because it is unfair business.
No need for batteries.
I like this thermometer for checking temps of our body. It does not need batteries which is perfect. We has not used our battery operated thermometer for several years. When we needed it, the battery was dead. This will work perfect, havenât used it yet, but I am sure it will be fine.
Ok for the price
The thermometer I received may read a bit low (I get 36 C without fever), but +/- 0.5 C would still be fine. I have no temperature reference to calibrate the thermometer against in order to determine it’s real accuracy.I am strong but found it difficult (compare to ancient mercury thermometers) to shake liquid back down prior to measure: 30 vigorous shakes only got the liquid from 36 C to 35.5 C. A weak and feverish person may find it hard.
