Very accurate and easy to use
So simple to use and clean. The readings are always accurate and the app is great to track temperature changes when someone is sick. The lighted tip means that I don’t need to wake a sleeping child by turning on a light to check their temperature.

I ordered this thermometer directly from BIOS Medicalâs website back in April 2020 (for COVID-19 reasons). I see that Amazonâs price is way cheaper, but they were unavailable through Amazon at the time.I submitted the following 1-star review to BIOSâs website, but they evidently filter their reviews and they didnât allow it to be published on their site, probably because itâs critical of their product. I will give them a small bit of credit for reaching out to me after submitting my review, but at that point it was too little, too late.This is what I had to say:I bought two of these made-in-China BIOS Precisiontemp Digital Ear Thermometers (model 240DI) in the summer, but unfortunately didnât test them out thoroughly until a few months later. When I did, I discovered that they were defective, giving unrealistically low readings (usually in the range of 32-34C) despite carefully following the directions and trying them out on myself and my family. I thought maybe I got a bad batch. Fortunately, I had kept an old, trusty thermometer of a different brand that gave reliable readings.I sent the thermometers back to the company (at my expense). What a gong show that was! But eventually they sent me replacement thermometers under warranty. They arrived today [December 5, 2020] and I just opened one package and it has the same problem! What a piece of garbage.Iâm out of pocket $200+ (if you count taxes and shipping) for these useless thermometers and will now be looking for a more reliable model from a different company.I donât care about bells and whistles like apps or memory functions or gimmicks like so-called âClean Me Technology,â which by the way is just an annoying flashing light thatâs supposed to remind you to clean the thermometer after each use. If thereâs one thing I expect from a fever thermometer is that it be accurate, and on that count this model is an epic fail.

Not accurate
We bought this thermometer and it is not accurate at all. It constantly shows a different temperature from one minute to the next. We clean it every time and still has poor accuracy. The app also does not work.
