Reviews

  1. Nice outdoor thermometer and clock
I now can see the temperature and time when I leave the house which is very useful- simple to use and program and used coin battery for long life- suction cup holds it firmly to window.

  2. Wish It Had Humidity
Seems to report warmer temps well. Not sure about winter temps as I haven’t had it for that long, but I’ve heard others have had issues with it not going below -25*C. Wish the device also had humidity

  3. Reversible
Easy to install, the module is reversible in the case, battery included, have to open to activate the coin battery and to set time in 12 hour format or 24 hours. It is important because at mid night automatically reset min/max temperatures. Looks good and compared to other one is accurate to .1° C and can be use in °F too.

  4. Keep your money
I first purchased 2 of these in June’23. I really loved these little thermometers. After about a month one of them stopped working…first jumbled display then not working at all (I changed the batteries so that wasn’t the problem, it still didn’t’ work). I called Amazon and as usual the great customer service. They told me no problem and asked if I would like a replacement or refund. I asked for replacement as I wanted the thermometer. They did not tell me to send back the broken unit, which made sense to me at the time as why would they want to pay shipping on something small and cheap that is broken and unusable. A few days later the package arrived with what I had ordered originally “2” thermometers, (only one had broken but I chalked it up to Amazon’s amazing customer service). I installed one of the new thermometers and it worked great. About a month later I received an email from the store front stating that If the broken thermometer was not received by a certain date then they would charge me the original charge. I did not have the unit as it was broken and I threw it in the trash. A couple of weeks later I was charged again. Now, 2 of the units I have are breaking down doing the same thing the first broken thermometer did…scrambled display and no display at times. So, 3 out of 4 have broken. As cute as they are it’s not worth the bother for only a couple of months usage( I will add that when they are working properly they are great). Picture attached of what the display does when it starts to go (Celsius reading, can you tell what the temperature is..I can’t, a lot of guesswork is involved reading this thing now) Look for something else and save your money on this .

  5. Wanted to love it
Easy to read. Accurate. Good suction. Only con it only reaches – 25. I live in Ottawa, ON. That’s not enough. If you live in a warm country it’s a great purchase.

  6. Cute and Functional
I LOVE this little thermometer. It’s exactly as described, it’s easy to read, and I love that I can put it into Fahrenheit instead of Celsius. I put it on my balcony door and boy, it sticks. I have no doubt it will be able to survive winter here.It comes with a little watch type battery for power, and the top part (the “roof” of the house) comes off to change the battery and to set the time/F or C. And you can’t beat the price.Definitely recommend since the temp here changes so quickly.

  7. My favourite thermometer
This is my second one. First one after 1.5 years of outside use stopped displaying numbers fully. I really like the see through screen and the min. and max. temp display which resets at midnight. When I wake up I check to see what was the min. temp last night and when the sun goes down what was the high temp for that day. Looks good and stays stuck to window glass all year long if you use Windex multisurface antibacterial cleaner, no residue on window before. Had it in the hot sun and in winter no problems. Accurate. Like it a lot.

  8. It works well
For me it works best on my north window

  9. Have not had a problem with it, stick to the window well and has not fallen off once in 2 months. Temperature read out seems pretty accurate and easy to read from across the room

  10. UPDATE: 11/30/2016Over time, the display becomes less and less readable. This happens over the course of a year or more though. I came back to amazon to buy a replacement like I planned before. However, this has tripled in price. Yes, tripled! I originally bought this for $4.42 and now it’s $15.30. That is a huge jump and given how difficult it is to read and the lifespan of the product, I knocked a star off since the value is no longer there. What would have been a simple purchase of 1 or 2 more of these has now caused me to look around to see what else is out there.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This thing works great and does exactly what I need. How difficult is it for a company to make a thermometer that shows the current temp along with a min and max for the day? Apparently REALLY difficult since this one and one other one were the ONLY ones I could find on Amazon. I took a chance with this one to be used inside my kegerator and it has worked great ever since. It was also super cheap too. So that’s another plus.If I had to complain about something, I would say that it’s a little hard to read where I have it set (Kind of hanging on one of the kegs). But I could probably spend some time and find a better location for it.I might buy a couple more as backups in case I ever damage this one since it has already fallen a dozen times already due to me moving things around. While it still works great, I’m simply paranoid that one of these falls might be its last because of how inexpensive it was.

  11. Not all suction cups stay stuck! This one works great! Easy to see out the kitchen window! Might be a degree or two different/off when tested against several other thermometers….but good enough for deciding how warm to dress before leaving the house:)

  12. When I received this, I took out the plastic battery strip, but there was no function at all. I put in another battery -still no function -blank screen. Amazon refunded my money, but I would not buy this again. Also, I think that any thermometer attached directly to a window pane will be influenced by the temperature of the glass. Even with double paned windows, the temperature readings will not be accurate. I am going to try one that months on the frame and doesn’t contact the glass.

  13. I usually don’t review products unless I can add something to the dialog and until I’ve used them awhile. I received two max-min thermometer today. It is very hard to open the top of the unit. I thought it would break because I had to exert so much force–cutesy but BAD design. The instructions are not very useful. It would of helped if they pictured the location of the “buttons.” They are inside the battery/circuit board compartment. I didn’t notice them when I activated the battery. After some fumbling around, I managed to get the compartment open again and found the buttons [the roof of the “house” comes off, exposing the batteries and controls.] From there it was very easy to change settings.I’m concerned that when I try to open the compartment, soon or later I’ll break the unit. I can’t say anything about accuracy at this point. The suction cup won’t stick to the insides of my upright freezer. The sides have a very slight “orange-peel” texture. Three stars may be generous but this is exactly what I wanted: something simple, accurate?, and inexpensive to monitor temperature in 2 freezers used for brewing/dispensing beer. Time will tell if this was a wise purchase.I tried to find better instructions at the companies website. This model is not listed anywhere on that site!! Go figure!
