Best Brush I’ve Used In 8 Years
This brush was bought to replace my old salon quality paddle brush that I received as a gift back in 2015. Though I was sad to see that brush go, I’m absolutely in love with this new one! (And this is coming from someone who’s not a big fan of change)This brush doesn’t look like it’d be all that, but it really is! It’s super light-weight (not even half the weight of my last one) and the bristles are super soft against your head. Usually when you brush your hair, there’s that familiar you’re-brushing-your-hair tug, but with this brush that does NOT happen! This brush is very gentle on your scalp and hair. Honestly it feels more like you’re petting your head than brushing your hair.Despite this though, it’s effective! Brushes out knots relatively fast and painlessly.I also like that it’s made of bamboo and nylon, so it’s a much more eco-friendly brush than my old plastic one!I haven’t tried the wood comb or the hair ties that came with the brush yet, however I don’t believe the hair ties will be affective in my hair.
Ne tire pas les cheveux en brossant!
Jâai les cheveux très-très longs, jâai des brosses rondes (pour coiffer) avec poils de sanglier alors le « démêlage » est très difficile, les cheveux sâenroulent dans la brosse, ça tire et câest très long dâenlever les cheveux de la brosse⦠Jâai choisi cette petite brosse parce que les poils de sanglier ne font pas dâélectricité statique, la brosse nâest pas trop grosse/grande et elle est légère. En la recevant jâai constaté que les poils de cette brosse sont plus courts et plus souples que sur mes autres brosses, alors ça ne tire pas et mes cheveux sont démêlés en un temps record! Je nâhésiterais pas à lâutiliser pour les cheveux dâenfants. Et ils sont disposés sur un « support » en « quart de lune » qui permet dâenlever les cheveux rapidement!
Smelliest brush known to man
This brush smelled so very awful. It gave me headaches the few times I used it, as the toxic smell transferred to my hair. I then tried to soak it in water and soap to remove the odor. Didn’t work. Tried again, and the wood cracked, unsurprisingly. And guess what, it still stunkkkkk. Worst money spent. Do not buy, guys. I mean unless you like just throwing brushes and thus money in the garbage?

This is my first boar brush, other than a knock off round brush years ago. I bought the Black Egg based on an article about the best brushes for thinning curly hair and only knew a little about what to expect based on that explanation.Well, I’m impressed! I’ve been a traditional paddle brush user all my life because I had thick hair, but now that I’m losing my hair, the paddle brush is too harsh. The Black Egg boar brush is fantastic, though! I was able to use it to detangle some minor twists, but I’ll probably still use my curl comb for the bigger jobs. What really won me over, though, was how smooth my hair was. I’m used to having flyaways and needing product to smooth my ponytails/buns, but this brush made everything lay flat, smooth, and shiny!Last thing is the size, weight, and grip of the brush. I have fairly small hands and often get joint pain while doing fine motor tasks. So far the grip on this brush seems to be a good width for my hand, and the weight feels balanced from the top to the handle. The bristles are a good stiffness, and it has the “pillow” that helps with shaping and brushing in a natural position.The little comb and hair ties that come with the brush probably won’t get used. The comb was too small for my hands to hold comfortably and didn’t seem to do much. The hair ties, being the plastic kind, aren’t my style.
Packaging was good and received all the items as advertised.The brush feels great on my scalp – boar bristles are pretty firm but don’t hurt. Helps manage flyaways and makes my curly hair softer and shinier. I’m very happy with the purchase. Thank you Amazon for making this one available here in India.

I love this brush. i didnât think this type of brush was for my hair (fine, wavy) but it works really well to untangle and align your hair correctly. It also pulls so much dust and fuzz out of my hair. Most importantly it helps spread my natural hair oils down my hair. Really sturdy brush. It does make my hair a little frizzy but that usually means i need to moisturize it.
