10″ Unit: As a product designer at NASA (ergonomics expert), I am very critical of product designs. I would not limit this to a “baby monitor” although it functions well for this purpose. The quality of the display far exceeds that of other units I’ve tested. In addition, the cameras are extremely functional with very little lag if any. To get the most out of this system, you want to learn a couple of tricks: One is to place all cameras on the screen at once, but the big surprise (as I did not find this documented) is to set all cameras to “SCAN MODE”. When set such that the camera view is full screen (not split screen), hold down the power button for around 10 seconds or until you see the “SCAN MODE” (something similar to this verbiage) and it switches cameras every 15 seconds.With our modern wireless security cameras it is nearly impossible or extremely difficult (depending upon the brand of security cam) to obtain a “live view” of the camera’s view. With the Bonoch, I placed the cameras in locations where I want to see a live view, and either set it to “scan” between full screens, or sometimes set to see all cameras at the same time.The quality of the camera and mechanism to move the camera is lag-free and simple (press and release highest button on the right, a left right up down symbol appears on the screen, and use the edges of the “OK” pad to move the camera.ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE: I have around 3.2 million wireless devices in my house (slight exaggeration) and there are never any interference issues. This is quite surprising to me, as the designer of wireless equipment. They did a killer job and their antenna on the 10″ display clearly works (whether it is needed or not).SUPPORT: This to me is shocking: I had a Bonoch camera that was of an older design. It was still technically under warranty, but it appeared to be irrelevant. Instead of the 1000 back and forth with the million questions designed to tire you out, I received a response to my request for service within 2 hours of my sending the request. All they wanted to know was my shipping address and picture of the failed camera’s serial number. I sent it and I received the replacement within 4 days? I was shocked. Also, most will ship a refurbished camera. I received a brand new camera with the latest features.CLEVER USE: If you want to be creative there are many ways you can use this camera: One truly valuable use: The delay in time for my Ring door cam’s audio to respond takes longer than I like. With this unit, when I’m expecting a delivery or a person, I will place the camera right outside my front door (weather permitting) and can speak immediately with the person who just pushed the ring camera button.
Purchased this because I wanted something that was not going to rely on WIFI as well as not rely on my cellphone to view. Everything has worked great until it wasn’t. The night vision was not working but I reached out to customer service and they responded within the HOUR!! they were able to help me and get me a new camera within the week. To parents who want to view multiple children 1000% recommend.
Works great. There customer service is also very good. A must have for a baby registry. Love how big the screen is(it’s great for grandparents)
Love the monitor size, easy to use, easy to add additional cameras, range is decent, but fails miserably in the night Vision category. The speaker on the back of the monitor is small as well, so it’s not always clear for sound if other things are on in the room.Update!! Day after my review someone from the company reached out to me and offered to help me. (Not my intent) They sent me 2 replacement cameras and now my night vision works. I think i just had bad cameras. This seller was super helpful in making this right and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Worth the money.
Updated: After initial issues with my monitor and cameras, and manufacturer reached out and provided a full refund to re-purchase a full functional 10â model.Original Review: The ability to see my newborn and my toddler on a large split screen that doesnât connect to WiFi was the main draw for this item and it does provide that.However, the microphone on my monitor is heard very faintly through the cameras, unfortunately. My toddler has a hard time hearing me if he does at all sometimes. The cameras themselves move well side to side but have difficulty moving up and down. I do feel the manual could be more detailed as well.
