Brain Games
Great puzzle book, great work out for the mind
Hours of fun
This book came and was better than expected. Hours of fun, keeps the mind busy. Lots of different games and puzzles
Lots of fun to try
Different games …fun and challenging…you really get to know what games you will stick with
Great book
I love brain games and this book has a great variety.
Very difficult for brain injury
I will try an easier one but the binding and quality is great..
Nothing special about these games
This is an easy-to-medium level puzzle book, nothing more. The claim is that it helps strengthen the mind, improve memory, etc. It’s true that puzzles and problem solving games do that, but the puzzles in Brain Games are no more effective than the pulp magazine puzzle books in the magazine section of the grocery or convenience store. You won’t see any puzzles you haven’t seen before, just typical crossword, sudoku, logic, word searches, etc. Very few different types, just the same ones repeated over and over. They’re not at all challenging, either. I enjoy working puzzles often but I wouldn’t rate myself as an expert solver; still, none of these has been much of a thinker for me, so advanced puzzlers would be downright bored. I’m about 2/3 through the book and I expected them to get harder along the way, but they really haven’t. Mystery words are so obvious that I actually had to check the answers because I couldn’t believe it was really so lacking in challenge.Calling them Brain Games, and labeling each puzzle with the cognitive skills it purportedly helps to develop (like analysis, computation, spatial reasoning, planning, etc) doesn’t make it any more effective than the monthly issued puzzle books which cost half as much. One benefit is that it’s spiral bound so the book will lie flat. Other than that, it’s nothing special. I definitely won’t buy any further editions.
Train your brain
Daily dose of training & if youâre really stuck answers can be found in back pages !!!
Fun puzzle book
This item was a gift and my friend likes it! Thank you
I recently turned 30 – and I think now is a good time to start exercising my mind more. This book is great for that – has a great variety of games and puzzles that really get you thinking. I actually learned how to play sudoku for the first time with this book! After spending 20 mins with this book, I feel like I had a light workout. Gives me a great break from social media. The level of difficulty ranges throughout the book, so there are definitely some challenges in here too, and if you really can’t figure something out, all the answers are in the back.I’ve been bringing it everywhere with me so it’s doggie-eared now, but I ordered it brand new and it arrived in perfect condition.
Cumple con lo mencionado y tiene diferentes ejercicios que van aumentando de nivel.
Great book
I was given a similar book and really liked it so I ordered this which is in the same series. I was not disappointed.
I’ve incorporated Brain Games as a part of my morning routine & find the activities engaging & at times challenging. Sometimes I work on a puzzle in 2 sessions or time myself on something I can quickly complete.I think it’s going to be engaging for a few months making the investment quite affordable. Give it a try!
