Easy to use and accurate. If you are checking temperature often for yourself or a loved-one, this is much easier than a contact thermometer. Perhaps twice the price of other similar products on Amazon, but this is a good brand with confidence inspiring build-quality. If monitoring of health is at all important, what is an extra $30-$40? Think about it. I didn’t think it was worth being a cheap-skate in this case.
On the go
Purchase this about a year ago and itâs been extremely helpful, especially when you have so many kids as always somebody sick. I have not yet had to change the batteries. Definitely recommend this for anybodyâs first aid cupboard.
Easy to use once you get the hang of it
At the start figuring out how to use it is a bit difficult, but it works on everything as advertised. Great company, sturdy build quality, and accurate readings.

Temperature always inaccurate
I have tried using this a variety of ways, I’ve also cleaned it as the instructions state. However the accuracy always seems off, it’s always higher. I can check and get a reading of fever and then a few minutes later be down .5-2 degrees. I will also check against ear thermometer by Braun and once again this one is always higher by .5 – 2 degrees. I purchased this brand as I felt it would be accurate compared to cheaper, unknown brands. Not sure if I got a defective product but would not recommend. I will say it’s easy to use.

Easy but inaccurate
These type of thermometer is unreliable for taking temperatures. My daughter was very sick and had a fever. This thermometer gave me a reading of 107. I called a pediatrician at the emergency room who watched me take her temperature. She asked if I had another type (I did have an ear thermometer). It read 103. Still high but better. The doctor said the scan thermometers were inaccurate and not enough research has been done to verify their accuracy.Long story short know that your readings may be high. The forehead scan is quick and easy especially for a sleeping child.
