Great quality ice tray/ makes huge cubes
I ordered silicone after reading other reviews that said the plastic trays crack easily for cubes this size. This is my first time having silicone ice trays and I love them! They make a huge ice cube that takes longer to melt which is great when it’s stupid humid and hot outside and one wants a cold drink. I gave it 4 stars because its tricky loading it into the freezer after filling it up with water. They are wiggly, it’s not a solid material or product (think -a rubber band) and the water spills everywhere. It takes a few times to get the hang of it. You have to hold the very edges to the left and right, and gently place it in the freezer. Also it’s tricky getting the cubes out as well. The tray is like rubber and of course you can’t twist the tray like a plastic one and have the cubes pop out because if you do twist it (out of habit) nothing happens lol. The cubes do not just pop out. So I figured out that the best way is to let the trays sit and the cubes defrost for awhile, and then the cubes just slide out easily, once a little water has melted. (Slippery when wet!) 🙂
Huge Ice Cubes
It’s very satisfying to have such a big ice cube in your drink, it keeps drinks cold for a long time. These look quite attractive but the minerals and other impurities from your water will show up as white in the ice and you may see lots of tiny flakes in your water after it’s completely melted so don’t be concerned about that. The only way to get more cosmetically appealing ice is to use heavily filtered or distilled water and even then businesses have the top inch or so of ice cut off for appearance before serving due to air making it cloudy.As far as an at home ice cube tray this works fantastic. It’s sometimes difficult to fill due to the material not being hard but this will make it last longer and makes it way easier to get the massive ice cubes out without feeling like you’re going to snap the tray in half.
They work well.
The trays work well, provided you have somewhere flat to store them in your freezer. They do have a strong silicone smell, but I have not noticed a taste from the ice cubes that come out of them yet. They are not perfect squares – there is an angle at the bottom.They fit well in my cocktail glasses.

I had a similar size more costly tray that just broke on me. I had it a long time so it wasnât a quality issue, just saying. Anyway, it cracked in part because a lot of the time the ice cubes were a challenge to get out and Iâd have to run the tray under hot water.Anyway, I was very happy to discover how easily the cubes come out of this tray-you pop them out through the bottom. No brute strength required-lovely huge cubes that will still be a good size by the time youâve finished your drink.

Ne va pas au lave-vaiselle car laisse toujours des traces de savons à l’intérieur.Contour un peu trop mou pour mettre au congélateur, manipulation très délicate pour éviter les dégâts .Sinon fait de beaux gros glaçons !!J’aime mieux les modèles avec contour plastique rigide pour la manipulation.Mais facile à vider .
