Coat keeps compromised calves warm. Like how big the belly wrap is, leg straps could be a bit longer but overall very happy with coat.
Not machine washable
Do not put this in the wash. Contrary to what the description says. Mine fell apart in the washing machine and blue plastic lining is all over my machine now, and I suspect the jacket is no longer waterproof.Bought this item specifically because of it being washable, now, basically junk

It works well and keeps our baby warm. Back strap for the legs broke on the first day so I do not think it will hold up after a month or two but does the job. She hasn’t been able to get it off yet.
I purchased one of these two years ago and it was much better quality in terms of the fasteners. Less than 1 day on the calf and the front chest strap had complete unraveled off the coat to just dangle. There was no strain on this strap because the 2 week old red angus calf is actually still pretty small for the coat and even with the clips taken up all the way it just hangs off her. So far the other straps are holding and the Velcro is keeping the chest together for now, just really disappointed.Even though it is too big for her the leg straps are keeping it securely in place on her back and she has no issues doing all her daily activities and bathroom duties. If it was a steer or bull calf that would be a different story due to the belly band just dangling but with the girl parts itâs still securely where it needs to be and staying clean. I just hope it holds together until she doesnât need it anymore.
We bought this for our Great Pyrenees mix. She has severe allergies and had to be shaved down last winter. This keeps her warm.
