Great product
Easy to use and set up. Works perfectly in the backyard as a gate for our puppy. Looks good too. It’s not sturdy enough that it wouldn’t topple over when pushed in. Works great for what we need.

Does the job
The gate itself is tall, metal and sturdy. It’s long and does the trick, you can take a couple panels off, which I did. Two notable things: the attachment pieces are plastic instead of metal, which is a bit odd, and the screws it comes with strip very easily – you are better off using your own. The gate is very easy to open and use.

Great Create for Large and Extra Large Breed Dogs!
We have now bought 3 of these great creates for our St. Bernese puppy (mix between a St. Bernard and a Bernese Mountain Dog). It was hard to find a create that was good and strong and tall as he is growing so fast. This create has been amazing! We bought 2 to put together to make a large day pen in our main living space. Then as he grew too big for the large dog create he slept in we bought another for him to sleep in in the bedroom. We love how versatile this product is. You can change the size of the create by adding or taking out panels. It’s pretty easy to change the size and it can be adjusted to different angles to suit your needs. We have taken a few panels off, (they fold up well) to set up at our family’s/friend’s homes as we travel to visit with our dog. Love this create!! Don’t know what we would do with out it! 🙂

Looks nice
The latch to lock this gate is horrible. It’s very cheap. We use it to separate our dogs. It doesn’t fully tighten so if it gets leaned on it will bend. Also if you want it to be heavy duty I would recommend using something else to attach it to the wall.

So….i am not the one usually assembling anything we order online, but hubsy was sleeping and he deserved this rest and l didn’t want to disturb him. Perhaps l should have waited for him to wake up, but patience is not really one of my strong suits, so i opened the box just as a short but fierce wind & blowing rain storm started things flying around our porch. As I struggled to get the VERY heavy Carlson Extra Tall Outdoor 144 inch wide Pet Fence out of the HUGE box, as soon as I opened the box, tipped it over, and pulled the box off the fence, the wind got a hold of the box and it flew away like a sail! As that was happening I heard a metal clunk as one of the connecting poles fell away from the main body of the fence! Then my plants all started toppling over so I had to go deal with that and come back to the pieces of the fence laying on the porch floor to try to figure out what was going on with the fence. What I discovered was that one of the poles was just a wee bit shorter than was needed it to be able to hold up during shipping. Thankfully, the rest of the poles held up just fine during the shipping process, but this one pole had come away from the fence and one of the sections was now unattached from the main body of the rest of the fence. What I realized then was not only was the pole infinitesimally shorter so it could easily have escaped notice by the packer, still it would not hold in place that section of the fence. The good news is that as I am using it as a standing fence by zig-zagging it across our front porch steps, and am not screwing it into anything, I do not really need that pole, and the fence will stand alone just fine without it. I did have a bit of trouble moving one section from one end to the other end so that when the fence is in position, the gate would be in the right position to open and close inward and be centered at the top of the stairs. The wind and rain certainly didn’t help, but even with all that going on, still it only took me less than a half hour to assemble. This only real trouble happened because as it came out of the box, it was supposed to be pre-assembled, but the shipping had shaken ill-fitting pieces apart which was unfortunate. The really tricky thing that hung me up for a few minutes more was that the smallest piece of the construction was a tiny ‘cup’ the poles slide down into at the bottom of every joint at the floor level. As I tried to fit that one pole that had come lose back into the little ‘cup’ I realized that was probably the problem to the whole thing as the pole would not fit into it and as I checked all the other little ‘cups’ that were working I could tell this one cup was noticeably smaller than all the others. If I had wanted to use this fence as a pen, or as a fence that was bolted at the ends, I would have had to return it or ask for a replacement cup. Other than that, the fence itself is very sharp looking and is sturdy. I actually love it now that it is up and it is perfect for how I intend to use it.

El producto aparenta ser otra cosa, se oxida fácilmente al intemperie y se anuncia para usarse al aire libre. La pintura no viene preparada para proteger el metal. Se atornilla a la pared usando unos “herrajes” de plástico que para mi punto de vista pueden resultar débiles ya que al apretar uno de ellos se venció y tuve que poner un tornillo mas grande. ¿Quisiera saber que hacer con el oxido, si esto se puede prevenir con algún tipo de pintura? No estoy completamente satisfecho con la resistencia del producto. De agravarse pronto la oxidación tendré que devolverlo.
