I really like the soft silicone that is very comfortable to wear.The design allows air to circulate around the nipples to help prevent chapping that can occur from constant contact with damp breast pads, etc.The one piece design helps prevent leaks and is really easy to use. Just unplug the stopper and dispense directly into a storage bag, bottle, etc.NOTE: Milk must be collected within 2 hours of first placing the shields to be safe.These breast shells are a great value for money and I recommend this product.
Very soft and comfortable
I am giving birth in a few months – second baby – and can’t wait to use these. I feel like these are so much better than the cloth pads because you can actually collect the letdown milk, rather than letting it go to waste in a cotton pad. They don’t suction on perse, so definitely better to wear in a bra while nursing or sleeping (or throughout the day). No more losing precious milk! I was very surprised how soft and comfortable these are, they are really pliable. Just don’t forget to sterilize your first time using and make sure to wash + sterilize often (treat them no differently than a bottle). These will also probably work as a nipple protector, for when your nipples are really sensitive in the beginning and can’t stand to be brushed against a bra.
I sent these to my daughter in law to see if they’d help collect the leakage while she was pregnant and after the baby was born. She says the work for her perfectly fine and she doesn’t have any complaints at this time and says she likes them.
This comes as a set! Extremely excited to try these when I give birth. Those early days are rough and random letdowns just happen before your body gets adjusted to babyâs needs. I plan on using these to collect all that precious colostrum and at night when let downs happen before babyâs latched on the side Iâm not using.They did not come with directions. First time moms take note, you will need to sterilize these first. You veteran moms know what to do to get these sterilized and ready to go. Wash in mild dishwashing liquid, rinse very well and boil them for at least 5 min. Let cool before touching or placing on your body.There are measurements on both sides of the collection cup. 2 horizontally in the front and 2 vertically in the back. Thereâs a pour spout at the top to pour into bottles or collection bags. The closure appears to be made well and leak proof. And there is a wide opening in the back to fit a variety of shapes. The shape of the cup seems to give ample room so nothing is touching once you have it in place.These are my first time trying such a product. I will update once I actually use them.Update: these have been a lifesaver. My pump hasnât arrived yet and baby is 6 days old now. Latching has been difficult and Iâve been advised to supplement. These have saved me from having to buy formula. Iâve been wearing them 24hrs and collect what I catch at each feed, transfer to a bottle and top baby off. I clean them and replace them after each time I collect milk. Iâve collected anywhere from 1oz to 1.5 ounce each feed. Truly truly amazing product.
I really like that these are large enough to hold several ounces of milk. I can use these when I know it is feeding time but I am busy. So I canât pump. When my milk lets down these collectors gather that milk that would be otherwise wasted with pads.
I get the idea of the product but these just didnât work for me the suction didnât suction right for some reason.
These milk collector cups are easy to use. You may need to follow along with a video on YouTube first to make sure you apply them correctly (this is what I had to do). Once I figured out the correct application, they worked great. They are lightweight, easy to clean, easy to travel with, and have multiple functions of use for collecting milk.
