ColorsNoise Sound Machine(Black top). 3.5 starsI bought this particular one because of the light and also because the variable sound options. I already have two white noise machines, but they play different kinds of white noise and fan noise only, and do not light up.I wanted to try something different to help with the terrible never-ending road construction outside my place which is unbearable.For the constant beeping of the trucks going in reverse I found that the babbling Brook sound played very loud as the most effective at combating that noise! But seriously, just as I’m writing this I started to notice that the track I like to listen to the best has developed a “chirping/beeping” sound. It’s extremely regular so I don’t know if that’s the loop or what has caused that. Very disappointing.The other disappointing thing is at the sound cannot be turned off completely as far as I can tell. You can get it extremely quiet but not silent. So you can’t use it as a night light only which would be a really good thing. Maybe that was in the description but I didn’t notice it.The other thing that I thought was a problem but it turns out it wasn’t was the brightness of the lamp. I thought it wasn’t adjustable. Admittedly, I know how most of these things work so I didn’t really pay much attention to the instructions, but I was pressing the light button on and off and that’s all it would do. I discovered by accident that if you press and hold the button when it’s on, the light will gradually dim and if you release it and press again and hold, it will gradually brighten so I’m very happy about that feature!Another surprising and disappointing thing is that the icons on the buttons do not light up !!! If you have the option to order this model somewhere, go for the white top not the black one. At night time you can’t see any of the buttons. You can see the circles, but not the function of each button.I can’t remember if I had the option of selecting a white one from this order, because I know I wouldn’t have selected black, given the choice.Overall a good item, I would have given it 5 out of 5 if these minor (but many) issues were remedied.

I bought this for my son to have in his bedroom… he’s scared of the dark.This plays a nice sound that he can relax to…. then the color changes to his favorite color… and I’m very happy with it. The songs are nice and he can play anyone he wants… and we usually pick a lullaby type of music… very soft… and you can turn the volume down a lot!! It’s a great device!!

After literally years of not being able to get to sleep, and once sleeping, to stay that way without medication – I can honestly say this machine has worked for me.I admit, I didn’t think it would, or could help.I was wrong, so wrong, and I couldn’t be happier about it!You can set a soothing pastel colour for subdued and calming lighting (I didn’t use it, but it is pretty)There are a variety of white noise options to choose from, if one doesn’t work, change it.Being able to change the volume is perfect. After a particularly difficult day, I turn the volume up to completely envelop and calm the noise my overactive mind creates.Taking control of my sleep patterns without the need for medication that tends to keep me foggy even into the next day is an amazing feeling.So happy with this purchase!
Does not work unless plugged in.
Very disappointed with the misleading description of this product. Bought this product specifically because it stated it was battery powered and came with a CHARGE cord. It cord does not charge the machine, simply runs it. I have had it plugged in “charging” all day and it does not work unless plugged in. Otherwise a nice little unit so I’ll give it a 3/5 still but docked 2 stars for lack of battery power, and sheer disappointment at being mislead. I would not have bought it if I knew it couldn’t run off battery as I’m trying to baby proof my child’s room and need everything to be cordless.
I love the large amount of sounds this provides, depending on my mood or interest. It has various colors to choose from. You also have the option of no light. Excellent purchase. I bought one for myself and one for my daughter.
Iâve used this every night since I got it. Definitely has helped with my sleep. Itâs very easy to use and I just leave it plugged in so I donât have to worry about batteries. Itâs small but the sound is quality.
Love how it has many sound options and that it serves as a night light as well. Does a good job of blocking outside noises, which made it easier to sleep.
I bought this to use in the bedroom for my two grandchildren, ages 3 and 4. They needed a nightlight and rainsounds. I love that all the functions work independently. The nightlight can be used alone or with the sound machine. The color is easy to adjust and so is the brightness level. It is a little difficult to tell all of the different sounds apart, but once I could recognize one, then they follow each other as described in the manual. It is easy to adjust the volume as well. I haven’t used the timer as they want the light and sounds on continuously, which is an option. One of the best things about the machine is that when you turn it off, it will turn on the next time exactly where it was set the previous time it was used.
Bought this for my newborn baby and we still use it at 2 months. It immediately puts her in the mood to sleep and it helps us relax as well. It has a ton of colors and sounds. The only downside is that it only stays on for a maximum of 4 hours so sometimes in the middle of the night Iâll have to rush to turn it back on before my baby wakes up.
