This is my first experience with a Bluetooth enabled feature which they brand as SensorSafe and it definitely adds an extra layer of protection by alerting caregivers if unsafe conditions arise, such as a child being left in the seat, the harness being unbuckled, or dangerous temperature levels.Pros:- Lightweight and Portable: At only about 9 lbs, this baby seat is easy to carry though not the lightest in the market. Still the relatively lightweight makes it ideal for parents who frequently switch the seat between vehicles or need a car seat that’s travel-friendly.- Slim Fit Design: The seat’s has a pretty narrow profile which makes it perfect for smaller cars or situations where you need to fit multiple car seats across a row or have a full car. It’s compact without compromising on space for your baby.- Safety Features: In addition to SensorSafe, the seat boasts Linear Side-Impact Protection (L.S.P.), which absorbs impact forces, and an ‘energy-absorbing shell’ that further enhances crash safety. The Cybex Aton 2 infant car seat is a great car seat if you are invested in the platform including the baby carriage and other available accessories. The big win is that you can go from car to stroller without having to take your baby out of the car seat which is why investing in a single brand for car seats + stroller makes sense.Another win for this car seat is the Bluetooth functionality with adds some basic smart safety features to this car seat which makes sense! The car seat will notify you if your child is left in the seat, if the harness is unbuckled, or temperature gets to dangerous levels. All reminders are good to have and work with your phone so you will get a notification at the front of your car when the seat is in the back.From a design view the seat is lighter than many others that can hold kids up to 35 pounds like this one. The narrow profile still gives good room and padding for your baby while also giving back a little extra room for adults in smaller cars. I have a bit of experience with these seats so it was very easy to get in to the car + secure and buckling up the little dude was also straight forward.Overall I’m happy to recommend the Cybex Travel System. The Car Seat is very well made with top quality materials and build, I do appreciate the narrow profile, light weight, and smart features that the seat offers.Makes a great gift for yourself or for someone expecting a new addition to the family!
