Best BBT on Amazon
This one is WAY better than he other BBT version offered by Easy at Home brand. Its very easy to read, is back lit, and remembers the temp. The button on top is easy to press. Its way better built. Worth the extra $10 for something that works better. Most importantly- the beep is one single, soft beep. Lasts for about 2 seconds.
Easy to use, great display
The display screen is huge and easy to read. After setting up the temp setting (reg or basal body temp), it’s easy to use every day. You can also see the last few temperatures you took in case you forgot to record it.It beeps after it’s been 30 sec. Although I didn’t realized it at first.Bonus is the case it comes in, keeps it clean. Especially if you’re taking the temperature from under your tongue. It’s water proof and can be cleaned too.
Works great! Spend the extra money and get this one with the backlight!
This thermometer works exactly as expected! I would have loved a Bluetooth one, but they’re pricey. This one was too much more expensive than one without a backlight, and it’s well worth the money. Given that you have to take BBT early in the morning and often in the dark, the backlight is a must. It has a big clear screen and beeps to let you know it’s ready, and it saves the most recent temp in case you forget it.
This works great!
This works great to track my basel temp⦠when I remember to check it in the AM lol. The screen is bright and clear, the beep isnât obnoxious and i love that it displays the recent temp again!
Doesnât have Bluetooth
This was recommended by the app to pair, however it cannot pair. So now I have two non pairing thermometersâ¦
Best I’ve Found
I’ve used 3 BBT thermometers, and this is by far my favourite. The first had a loud beep and an unlit screen. The second was quieter and had Bluetooth, but no screen and stopped working. This one is easy to read, doesn’t take as long as some of the others to measure, the beep isn’t obnoxious, and the case in comes in keeps it clean. The screen could stay on a little longer – I read it, so I can remember it to record it. Or course I could just press the button again if I forgot.Totally recommended!
Works fine but always reads slightly low
This thermometer works well and is super easy to read. I checked it with my old trusty thermometer which is very accurate and this one reads just slightly low all the time. But if you are using it for checking ovulation or basal body temp daily, it wouldnât matter too much.
Good as described
Accurate, easy to use, and comfortable – this thermometer has made tracking my basal body temperature a seamless experience. Fast results and precise tracking make it a must-have for understanding my body’s rhythms. Five stars!”
The accuracy compared with a known standard is correct. Repeatable. Super easy to read with the huge display – I can even read it while it is in my mouth. To cope with the slight reduction in oral temperature caused by inserting the room temperature probe, I put it first in the left side heat pocket under my tongue for 45 seconds, then quickly shift to the right side. Takes about another 30 seconds to register the accurate temperature.
This product has a terrible design flaw that makes it non functionalâ it has a 60 second auto shut off to conserve battery but takes 60-90 seconds to measure your temperature which means it almost always turns off before finishing the reading. Extremely frustrating!
This to me feels like an old school thermometer, 1 to 2 minute temperature readings give it time to record a real temp. Used a professional Welch Allyn hospital thermometer to compare and was an exact match every time. Highly recommend.
I’ve owned a number of digital basal thermometers since I first read Taking Charge of Your Fertility almost a decade and a half ago, and this is the best one since they discontinued the BD Basal Thermometer. I’m delighted to have finally found a replacement that works well, totally meets my needs, and doesn’t have any of the various minor annoyances of others I’ve tried. Most important, of course, is getting consistent, accurate temperature readings so I can accurately detect the shift of a few tenths of a degree, and this thermometer performs admirably. It generally takes just over a minute to get a reading while on the basal setting, while the less accurate fever mode takes less than fifteen seconds, making this an excellent thermometer for general family use as well.I love that this retains the last thirty temperatures taken in its memory, ensuring that if I set my alarm to wake up early to temp, take the measurement, and then roll over and go back to sleep on the weekends, I won’t accidentally delete my data with a wrong button press before I can record it. (That’s all too easy to do with thermometers that only keep the last temp in memory.)I appreciate the big numbers and well-lit screen that allow me to see my temperature without turning on the lights and putting on my glasses. The thermometer beeps when turned on and when the reading is complete, but it doesn’t beep continually during operation like the old BD did, which is a definite from my husband’s perspective. The included plastic case takes some effort to pry open, but it is very secure. It definitely isn’t going to pop open in your purse. The thermometer has a rigid tip. It isn’t waterproof so recommended cleaning is to just wipe the tip with alcohol. I’ll eventually need to locate an itty-bitty Phillips head screwdriver when it is time to replace the CR1632 battery; that’s slightly annoying but worthwhile if it keeps batteries out of the hands (and mouths) of small children. I can’t comment on battery life yet, but I’ll update this review if it turns out to be noteworthy. The manufacturer offers an app for charting, but you have to enter the data manually since this is a basic thermometer without Bluetooth connectivity. I haven’t tried the app since I’m content with my existing approach to charting and prefer to keep my health data private.I highly recommend this if you are looking for a basic, reliable digital basal thermometer. This is a thoughtfully designed device that has all the features I want without any extraneous bells and whistles. Whether you are TTC, TTA, or just trying to understand your body better, this thermometer is an excellent tool.
The older I get the more I appreciate large screens with large text. When I was younger, tiny LCD screens were fine. They’re still fine now, but having a giant screen really helps. I didn’t use the ovulation tracking feature as nobody in this household does the ovulation thing yet/ anymore/ at all, but as a regular thermometer it works great. The button is easily accessible on the end/back, and it reads temperature really quickly and accurately. It’s usually within 0.2 degrees of my calibrated thermometers.
