Easy install, great high back booster
We bought this for my 5 year old daughter for the back seat of a 1/4ton truck with a tight backseat. I was worried about finding something to fit the space well. This was an easy install, no assembly required, and fits well using the truck seatbelt as a strap. No complaints.
Nice and wide, easy to install and study! Very nice seat
Great car seat! The only thing is the seat padding. I had to add memory foam to make it more soft/comfortable for my girl. Other than that, was a great purchase. Very happy with it.Another thing I should mention is that it is very sturdy and easy to install. My daughter hated buckling up before and with this seat, she makes sure she gets buckled at all times now and have had no complaints with it. My car is a small sport car, so the other down fall is that it is nice and wide so hard for her to buckle on her own as it is right tight to the buckle clamp. Again, over all, awesome buy!! Very pretty, and nice and wide.
Sturdy, soft and comfy
We travel on the highway a lot so a comfy seat is a must! Material is soft and cushy. Cup holder and snack tray are super helpful. My favorite part is that it clicks in, so no sliding around back there!
So Far, So Good, BUT…
Made in China!!! We chose Diono because their website says “Made of Seattle”… well, I guess we were tricked. Not IN Seattle, but OF Seattle. Yeah, yeah, designed and engineered in the USA; but made in China.As other reviewers have mentioned, the cushioning is very thin – comparing it to a Britax convertible seat we were using, the Diono cushioning is about 1/3 the thickness. It’s no problem to add foam or whatever under the seat, though. Our child has not complained on trips up to 30 minutes, however.Another reviewer mentioned that it cut up her seatbelts, so we were very cautious about this. In the upper seatbelt guide, it is where the front/back of the plastic mold come together, so there can be sharp edges if it is not finished properly at the factory IN CHINA. It was only slightly sharp to the finger, so I don’t think it could cut the seatbelt, but we still took the precaution to file the finish down even more so that there is no chance of seatbelt damage.Negatives aside, I appreciate that there are latch attachments for the bottom booster seat. It’s light and easy to attach the back portion to the bottom portion. It looks to be pretty high quality. The cupholders are in nice spots and are useful. The seatbelt follows the intended paths well and they’re marked with red cloth.
Love this booster seat!
I really love this booster seat, they fact that it is all black is amazing my son’s car seat was grey and you could see every stain imaginable. The cup holders can be stowed away when not in use and you are able to remove the high back later on to make it a backless booster. The lower latch anchors give me a little piece of mind and probably also helps prevent any shaking as you drive without your child in the seat. It is super easy to install it took me maybe 2 minutes to put it in my car. Very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this booster to anyone.

Switched my son to a booster with no back and when he would fall asleep his head would go all over the place. So wanted him to be comfortable again. Ordered this & he loves it and he sits high so he sees everything. Worth the money. Very easy to remove. My interior is black so it blends

Weâre officially Diono fans. Iâd heard about the brand but didnât know anyone who owned a Diono product. So glad I gave them a try. For starters, the safety ratings were good, itâs very lightweight, the installation was super easy- normally I have my fiancé do the installation because car seats and I do not mesh well lol- I installed this, alone, in a snap. Adjusting the backrest for height is simple and requires almost no effort. Taking the back off, to make it a backless booster, can be accomplished in seconds. My 6yo daughter says itâs comfortable. She loves the colors and the cup holders. Also, the arm rests are actually a decent size. Some of the booster seats on the market have these ridiculous arm rest, too short and too narrow, not sure what those companies are thinking. These are wide enough for her to actually set her arm on and long enough too. I was concerned about it being too big for my Jeep. My backseats are pretty small/narrow and most car seats are too big for them, but with a little wiggling and tightening, it fits perfectly.
Well worth the money ! Easy to install and adjust. Very sturdy, LOVE the seat anchors, my child is not constantly telling me he cannot get his seat belt buckled because his seat moved. Lightweight, nice padding, and love that the head rest and padding is not to thick but just enough. Aesthetically pleasing which is an added bonus to itâs functionality.
