Dodow is a light that teaches you how to fall asleep naturally. Sleep aid device inspired by therapy, yoga, and meditation to help you soothe your brain activity, slow your breathing, and relax.
Tap the touch-sensitive surface once for the 8-minute mode and twice for the 20-minute mode. Follow the light: as it gets brighter, inhale. Exhale with the dimming. In the end, Dodow switches off.
With regular use, you can soon learn to fall asleep on your own. Numerous studies have shown that breathing is ultimately one of the best tools for regulating stress and mental agitation.
Over 1M already falling asleep with Dodow, amongst them, are those who have difficulties getting to sleep (aged 6 years and up); troubled thoughts, stress, restlessness, and chronic sleeplessness.
Blue light used for good: Specific shade tested for best results. Dodow’s light intensity is too dim to prevent melatonin secretion (the sleep hormone). 3 levels of light intensity to fit your needs.

Reviews

  1. Change of heart
7/7/19 getting the pulse back was a simple matter of turning the machine off and on. It continues to help me sleep. I often wake up at 2:30 am. Without the Dodow I might as well put the coffee on. With it I can go back to sleep. I have yet to last the full 8 minutes before wanting to sleep.5/15/19 the device stopped working last night, It no longer pulses but just gives a steady blue light. Unable to return due to time limitation. If the vendor sees this, please let me know if I might be doing something wrong.Original Reviewit usually works. Seems overpriced for what it is but not for what it does. Worth a try for anyone with sleep problems.

  2. Great Marketing – awful product
Great effort to market this product. When you buy it – the advertising pitch makes sense – this softly glowing orb of light expands and contracts on the ceiling to gently guide you into a lower physiologic state through breathing regulation…product looks (and is) slim and sleek and “cool” (apple-product-like)…In reality – it spreads a huge, diffuse, Blue (the best colour for keeping you awake!) glob of light through the whole bedroom and instead of the “orb of light” slowing expanding and shrinking – it just kind of comes on and globs away.Dodow’s acclaimed “Team of engineers” ought to have asked for a lot more of the marketing budget to figure out how to have the LED light do what they say it does (and use, say, any colour other than blue)…{I tried raising it, lowering it, directing it towards the wall at a bunch of different distances to try to get any form of an orb – no dice}Actually, one of the worst things I have ever blown $80 on.

  3. It helps your mind to focus rather than wander
I have suffered a concussion and am deemed catastrophically impaired.I have major difficulties with sleep.I saw this product advertised and thought that it might help. Well, it kinda does but not how I expected it to.Bottom Line: I would recommend it to anyone having sleep issues caused by not being able to shut off their brain. Background:Throughout my ordeal with sleep following the accident, I have attended counseling, a sleep clinic and worked with many care providers. Most of them, when addressing the issue of sleep problems have recommended mediation, or mindfulness or simply concentrating on putting your body to sleep one part at a time.I tried all of these but nothing worked for me.My problem, like that of so some many others, is that my mind does not shut down when I go to bed.My mind seems to feel that laying down to sleep gives it the freedom it needs to address more of life issues other than walking, breathing, balance etc., and it does so at high speed.Thoughts, pictures, images, conversations flash through my mind like a movie on a high speed projector. It just keeps coming at me.And sometimes it goes down that ‘long dark road’ that I completely dread. So whenever I try one of those methods described above, my mind takes over, and with all the information hitting me, I just can’t sleep.Enter The DowdoHow it works is simple. For an 8 or 20 minute period it projects a light on to the ceiling of the room. The light brightens and dims. When it brightens, you breath inWhen it dims, you breath outWatch the lightBreath inBreath outAlso while doing this, you concentrate on the rising and falling of your abdomenBreath in – abdomen risingBreath out – abdomen fallingThe concentration on breathing and on my abdomen rising and falling, seems to push out all the other thoughts in my mind.Sort of like a meditation coach being right there. Now, so far, it has not put me to sleep while it is on.But it has me yawning like crazy.About four minutes in, I become tired and just want to turn it off so I can go to sleep. However, the instructions say that when that happens just keep doing it as will make you even more tired.I find that when the 8 minutes are up, and the light goes out, I continue breathing in, breathing out, in a regular rhythm. And sometimes, shortly after that, sleep comes. And sometimes, my mind starts up again and I’m off to the races.Just a note:I find it better to breath in when the light dims and breath out when it brightens. And using Dowdo does take work and concentration. It’s not some kind of miracle toy.I will continue with it although I have the feeling that eventually it will become a habit to breath in and out on my own.

  4. Didn’t work for me.
This was a gift for a friend who has trouble sleeping. The concept sounded good and I hoped it would work for them. Unfortunately it didn’t really do anything. I tried it myself and it didn’t work for me either. Timing my breathing with the light pulses seemed to make me breathe faster which did not help me relax. The device itself is nice and compact, if only it would have worked to help us fall asleep!

  6. Easy to Use and it Actually Works
it was recommended by a friend and I was skeptical at first. Then she lent me hers to try out. It worked for me the first night I tried it and after testing it for a few days I bought one for myself. It was super easy to use. I was amazed at how effective it was at helping me fall asleep with no medication needed. It puts you into a slow deep breathing pattern that induces relaxation and calmness. I usually find myself dosing off within 10 minutes. It’s super compact and easy to travel with. Also very economical to run (battery wise).

  7. Positive results were expected and we obtained
We wife has difficulties to fall asleep. She used medication, natural herbs, meditation, melatonine for the past years. Although the unit is pricey, we decided to give it a trail. The results are satisfactory. The money investment is without doubt worth the spending as it will pay for itself in the opportunity cost of medication an natural herbs therapy. This testimony is based on one experience only. We do not expect that this testimony will be the warranty for the results of other individuals. This is a trail and error experience. sincerely,

  8. Are you part of the countless individuals who have found themselves tossing and turning, desperately seeking slumber’s embrace? Look no further than the revolutionary Dodow sleep aid device! With over a million satisfied users, this ingenious little gadget promises to be your personal lullaby, gently guiding you into the land of restful dreams. 🌙At first glance, the Dodow might seem like a simple device, but its elegance lies in its simplicity. By projecting a soothing blue light onto your ceiling, it becomes a mesmerizing metronome, synchronizing your breath with its rhythmic pulsations. Inhale as the light expands, exhale as it retracts – a seamless dance that lulls your mind and body into a state of tranquility. 🌿But Dodow isn’t just a pretty light show; it’s a masterful conductor of relaxation. 9.

Consigliato

  11. My significant other and I both suffer from insomnia related to anxiety. You know the kind–where you lay in bed and things that happened 10 years ago haunt you into being wide awake. After over a week of both of us sleeping horribly, I was desperate. I’ll admit this was somewhat of an impulse buy. I saw it on a facebook video and decided I was so sleep deprived, it was worth a try because there was a free return and we were exhausted. After nearly a month of using it nightly, I have to admit that I am quite shocked at how well it works. We don’t use it nightly, just on nights we consider ourselves to be at risk for being wide awake all night, and each night we’ve used it, we’ve slept like absolute babies. Some pointers:**Take it for what it is. THIS IS NOT A CURE. It is essentially a distraction technique that helps you escape your thoughts through intentional breathing. It calms you and allows your body to fall into a natural sleep. It isn’t a magic cure and it requires dedication to the process. If you can’t commit to something like that, then this isn’t for you.**It is battery operated. If you’re an earth friendly household (like us), I would recommend simultaneously purchasing a set of rechargeable batteries.**It doesn’t work well when it’s directly against a wall (on a nightstand, for example). The light kind of gets distorted on the wall instead of projecting onto the ceiling. We have a bench on the end of the bed we put ours on that works just fine. A larger piece of furniture would also work, but something that sticks out atleast 2 feet from the wall is my recommendation.Hope this helps!!!

  12. Helps you focus on a ray of light hence makes you fall asleep.Nice product for people who struggle to sleep.I gifted to a friend and he seemed to like it
