Great for a small senior dog
This is my 3rd attempt at a decent car seat for my 18-year old Taco Terrier, and this one seems perfect. It’s a well-made little car bed that is easy to put together and delivers excellent value for the price. I am not concerned about harnessing my dog when he is in the bed because he is not active enough to try to jump out, so I can’t comment on the reliability of the dog harness. But a strong-enough adjustable strap holds the bed securely on the back seat by a simple wrap-around the head rest. The fabric also seems very easy to wipe down in the event of some car sickness, etc. *Warning that this type of bed should not be used on the front seat due to air bags.* But it’s perfect on the back seat. And the wide open top works for my dog because every other type we tried (with smaller top and/or side openings) was problematic for him due to his hip dysplasia, as he has trouble bending at certain angles. With this one, with a nice blanket on the bottom, he can be carefully placed without discomfort. Well worth the money if you have a small calm dog, or if your dog is (like mine) elderly and somewhat disabled. Pleased with this purchase.
Safe and sound for car rides! But needs improvements.
Had to drop a star due to the VERY CHEAP made collar attachment.We got tired of using carriers in the car to take our dogs to vets and family visits. These came super fast, and like 5 minutes to set up. In the backseat, they install quick and easy. I’m sure you could use a seatbelt to secure more, but we didn’t need that. The clips inside the seats to attach to their collars are VERY CHEAP, and one broke off when trying to hook it to the harness our dogs wear (we managed to get it back on, but very loose and not strong at all). Thankfully, our dogs are small and not wanting to jump out, but for a good quality item, the collar attachments are awful!Other than that one design flaw, the seats hold up nicely. Our dogs are small, so they fit in these fine, but make sure to measure your dog vs size of seat. Overall, they are better than clunky carriers in the backseat and this way the dogs can look out and enjoy the rides.

Great quality and as described. My seatbelt won’t fit around the front and the head strap only fits around one portion of the head rest but still much more secure than most seats and for cost I’m happy with the quality. Wasn’t sure I’d like the mesh but it’s nice to see them through it while you’re driving. Did purchase a separate bed to put in it to make it more comfortable.
Doesnât keep pet contained
We purchased this for our dachshund puppy, and unfortunately, have since had to purchase an alternative product. The âwallsâ are not overly sturdy and have sagged inward. The collar buckle is too long and allows the dog to hop out of the seat.
Love it
Bought it for my cat since hes not really into the backpack in the car but I needed a seat for him so he doesnt go to the front. its quite big so theres plenty of space for him to lie down and he really likes to sit and sleep in it during long drives.
Great for Travel
I recently purchased this for my 16 pound shih-poo. She is anxious in the car and usually wants to drive. I had a 5 hour drive ahead of me and decided to give this product a try. It was PERFECT!!!! I lined it was blankets and she layed down. Easy to install. I highly recommend.
STRANGULATION WARNING!!!!!
I had high hopes for this product as a safe way for my puppy to travel in the car. I was 110% wrong. Always check the quality of an item before trusting it to keep your pet safe.The first time my puppy rode in the car seat, it went OK. I noticed the strap that anchored her to the seat came loose. I re-adjusted the strap to be more secure and drove home.The second time was a complete nightmare. I had successfully travelled to a nearby pet store to get supplies. As weâre getting ready to leave, I strap her in the car seat in the backseat diagonally-across from the drivers seat (where Iâm sitting). I have the car running and put it into reverse when I hear the worst noise Iâve ever heard in my life. My puppy is crying and screaming and yelping. Within seconds she is strangling herself in the anchor strap that has come so loose that it is at its full length. She continues to twist and wrap herself more as I frantically throw the car in Park, slam my seat as far back as possible and reach to free her. She was so caught up I couldnât get the clasp to unlatch because it has a stupid plastic lip that kept catching the ring on the harness instead of releasing. My puppy, at this point, has defecated all over herself and is wheezing because she canât breathe. Luckily, I managed to push her head under the strap that allowed enough give for her to breathe. I was seconds away from witnessing my puppy strangle herself to death in this car seat because the buckle on the anchor was so flimsy all it took was a simple pull for the entire strap to loosen and extend to full length.I really liked this product the first car ride. However, this particular car seat is very poorly made. Please do not purchase, your pets are at risk. I was SO lucky that I wasnât driving when this happened and that I was able to get her free.DR : very low quality product with defective anchor strap/buckle system nearly strangled my puppy to death, I was very lucky I was able to save her
Pretty but not sturdy enough
Easy to assemble and put on car seat but not sturdy enough for my miniature poodle who weighs 10 lbs. Probably ok for a teacup size dog.
My.dog.hates it but the material is good quality and easy to.set.on.both front or back seat. The clip is strong to hold my 7 pounds super active chihuahua. The size is accurate and the material didn’t smell bad. This is excellent value for the money.
My puppy ride with me to work every day! This car seat is absolutely perfect! Its sturdy, great quality, heâs so comfy in it, very great size, will be good for when he gets bigger as well & has a great bottom padding on it so if he accidentally pees itâs okay!!! Super high quality along will easy to see features! We love it!
Easy to assemble, very sturdy, will work well for my little Yorkie. No bottom pad/cushion but I have plenty of square throw pillows that will do the trick.
This doggie car carrier is surprisingly versatile in the ways I can make my Little teacup schnauzer comfortable. Depending on how long of a ride she needs different bedding. It is deep enough to hold her securely when she is sound asleep. And the tether attached to her harness also provides great protection when sheâs riding high looking out the window. Itâs even been tested with that dreaded unexpected moment we found ourselves suddenly having to hit the breaks and swerve to avoid an accident. Fortunately my Little Angel was perfectly secured and safe. Thatâs what I expect and Iâm glad to let you know this one did the job perfectly.
