I originally bought these mainly so that my cats wouldnât get locked in or out of specific rooms in my house. I love them and just bought more for my daughter for the same reason. They are inexpensive, grip the doors well so they donât slide around and when not in use, hang perfectly from the door knob. As for functionality, they do keep doors from closing or slamming when windows are open, keeps the cats and people from accidentally closing doors. They also keep my grandson from jamming his fingers in doors. Works as it should. I recommend.

We were dealing with a 2 year old who discovered he could open and close doors finally. The closing was more of a slamming and besides being annoyed with how loud it was I was also concerned about fingers getting caught. Popped these on all the doors and it worked like a charm. These can be placed high enough so kids canât reach it to remove them either.

My two little ones havenât learned not to slam doors and these are a LIFE saver. The help make sure their fingers do not get caught in the door but I like them better than other versions because you can easily remove them when guests come over and put them away. They do start to get lose after months of use, but Iâve had them for over a year and they still attach perfectly!
These work great to protect fingers from being pinched but they are a little too thick. The gap that it leaves is more like a hand protector, which I don’t need. I put these on sliding closet doors and it leaves an unattractive 1.5 inch gap open on each side which is enough for 4-5 of my kids fingers. I may trim them down and see if that works better for what I need it for. On the bright side, they are really easy to just pop on and off to use them wherever needed.
I have a litterbox in the bathroom and I use a door buddy to keep the door cracked open but one of my cats stole the foam gaurd that came with the door buddy & chewed on it making it unusable. Since then one of my cats has been occasionally locking the others in when given the opportunity. This works great as a replacement gaurd and I have multiples in case my cat gets a hold of it again.
