No. DOORWING works on most door frames but may not work properly on ultra round or sharply angled door frame trims.
WHAT IS DOORWING’S ADJUSTABILITY RANGE?
DOORWING fits doors 1.2 to 1.8 inches thick and door frames up to 8.5 inches thick.
WHAT IS THE SMALLEST DOOR GAP OPENING?
1.5 inches, just enough to help avoid hand and tail pinches, but too narrow for cats, dogs, babies and toddlers to fit through.
WHAT IS THE BIGGEST DOOR GAP OPENING?
5 inches on standard door frames, which is wide enough for most cats to comfortably fit through. Standard door frames in North America are 5.5 inches thick. NOTE: The door gap opening will depend on the door frame size.
CAN THE DOOR FULLY CLOSE WITH DOORWING ATTACHED TO IT?
Full door closure is possible only when DOORWING is in storage position (folded away when not in use) and only where there is a minimum 3-4 mm clearance space between the door’s edge and the door frame. DOORWING’s metal bracket is 2 mm thick and must easily fit between the door’s edge and the door frame for full door closure. If there is not at least 3-4 mm of space, please do not attempt to fully close the door with the unit attached as this may cause damage to your door frame.

Do not leave children unattended. Intended for home usage on interior doors only. Breaks easily- not? updated
Works ok but the moment someone pulled on the door it broke. The end part need to be made of steel or stronger plastic.Update. Company reached out to me after my review and wanted to make it right. They said they had updated their product and offered a replacement or full refund. I opted to give it another chance with the updated design. So far itâs working great and seems much stronger! Great customer service earned 5 stars.

Super sturdy door prop for cats and dogs
We desperately needed to keep our new dog out of the cat feeding station and litter box. We never realized how big of a problem it is until we got the dog in. What a mess! DOORWING works like magic and does the job so well. Easy to install, very adjustable to different cat sizes and keeps the door slightly ajar, which is perfect for room ventilation and preventing the cat getting locked inside the room. Highly recommend!
Amazing child proof door lock much easier than baby gates
I think this product is a game-changer! We got rid of all the doorway child gates and replaced them with this small and easy-to-use baby door lock. It basically just mounts on the door in 2 seconds and no need to tape it or drill it to the door so it keeps doors intact and can be moved around to other doors when needed. Just perfect for us when we travel and cannot carry big heavy baby gates. I installed it low enough for my older child to access it easily and unlock it, it was high enough for my toddler not to reach. My cousin also using it instead of those baby gates with cat doors, to separate the cat area from her toddler. Definitely highly recommend it!
The only elegant solution!
We ordered this product to keep our dogs out of a room where the cats have their space.We also use the room as an office, so entering and exiting it easily was a necessity. Other solutions did not really provide that, at least not for the same value. Being able to fold it away is very convenient and it’s a very flexible product, which works on all the types of doors we have in the house.Our initial unit failed, it still worked but the mechanism to fold it away did not, which is a minor issue.Still, after contacting the seller he was very (VERY!) helpful and made sure we received the proper parts/replacements in no time. The Doorwing has not failed us since!Great product, good service! 10/10 would recommend!
Wish it allowed full door closure while in use
Nifty little device that works as advertised to keep a door from opening or slamming shut – all without requiring permanent installation with screws etc. Itâs portable for this reason and seems sturdy enough for my 2 year old.I can appreciate the function that acts as a door stop to prevent fingers from getting jammed or pets from being harmed etc, but sometimes I wish it had a function to close fully without the gap and still function when the door is opened. If you have a toddler who likes to open and close doors – nothing is more inviting than a slightly ajar door. If the device could allow the door to close but swing into action if someone tries to open the door then it would be perfect for my needs.
Nice looking item but it does not work the way it should.
Not steady at all. My pomeranian opened the door with half her mighty force!! I spoke with the maker, and they are working on perfecting the item to meet all door standards. I can appreciate the positive feedback from the makers and their eagerness to appreciate suggestions. I will re-purchase this product once the changes have been made. The concept is fantastic overall.
UPDATING THIS REVIEW FROM 3 MONTHS AGO: Still love this produce but I don’t know how to reach the manufacturer with a question. After 3 months of use, our Doorwing has become “loose” – the top button is askance and it’s very difficult to get the arm to collapse. Is there a way to adjust this? It still works, but we like to have the arm flat during the day to avoid running into it and poking an eye. Your response would be greatly appreciated.This is an amazing product. I saw something similar my daughter had installed on her laundry room door to keep the dogs away from the cat food, but hers was not “portable” (I suppose you could remove it but it was affixed with adhesive and not meant to move from door to door). THIS one, however, makes her wish she’d found it, first. So incredibly easy to put on any door and keep the dog out while letting the heat/air circulate or allow the cat to come and go. And if you need it on another door, super easy to pop off and move to another door. We actually ended up buying three. Our aging dog was sneaking into empty rooms and using the carpet, but keeping the door shut messed up our HVAC and made the cat (who likes to sleep under empty beds) upset. This solves all issues. No more dog accidents, no more cat howling, no more blocked air flow. We’ve had them more than a month now and give high praises to the design and ease of use. If you travel with your dog and stay with friends, this would be a breeze to pack with you and put on their door to keep your dog in (or out) of any room while still allowing air circulation.

I got two, but it didn’t work on one of the doors we wanted it for. Good thing, because our toddler tried to force his way into our room and broke one of the spokes holding the spring in place.Same thing happened with the second one.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact it says you can close the door when not in use. Iâve tried multiple doors but itâs honestly not that hard to take it off and put it back on. That and a little rubber piece fell off which is a choking hazard. Other than that great for keeping cats in and dogs out or toddlers. I thought it just held it open but it does get annoying when kids try to open and close the door. It does do its job and nobody gets Fingers closed in the door, but it gives that wiggle room for them to just knock on it by opening and closing it and catching on the door. So itâs basically like and extended door stopper. Overall I do enjoy a safer household.
I appreciate how easy it was to install. Thankfully the white color matches the house. There is a function to adjust how much the for opens before the arm keeps the door from opening more. There is also a super to prevent the door from closing. If the door needs to be closed the arm can be locked back. I am able to keep my large (90+ lbs) dog out of a bedroom while allowing air circulation.
