Sturdy but not very easy to assemble
I bought this crib for my sister for the pending birth of her third son. We chose it months ago. I was a little worried about purchasing it based on the reviews, but it was the one she really wanted and it looked the best also. I searched many sites, many stores, tested, many cribs(went to stores leaning and lifting like I was a new mom) and still settled on this crib after all my research. My nephew’s new room was ready last Sunday, I ordered the crib at 2pm Sunday the 24th, piece one arrived the 26th, plus #1. Piece # 2 arrived on the 27th big PLUS! Since most reviews centered around not receiving that second piece, this was really great! Last night my other nephew and my brother-in-law put the crib together as a surprise. It took about 2 hours, they said the instructions were pretty cut and dry, and it wasn’t hard to do at all. Plus #3. Now it was time for the big reveal…..it was breath taking! It was so beautiful everything from the picture and more! No scratches, perfect condition, just what she wanted and more! The description didn’t even mention that it came with the extra pieces to convert the crib to a bed. Most other sites make you pay an additional cost, this wasn’t! It even had the pad for the changing table! This was worth it at $600 but at $299 it is a steal! Another note for new mommies, this crib is close to the floor. Me and my sister are very short and when we had our older kids, those cribs were very tall and deep! Very difficult to get our newborns in and out of. With my son I had to use a stool, but this crib was so easy to lean into! Ladies even with a “C section” it will be no problem getting your newborn in and out of the crib! What a mother’s dream!
We received the crib just fine, both boxes, all parts. However, we received the wrong instructions for putting it together… and this is not a piece you can “just figure out.” We emailed, then called the company explaining the situation, and the person who assisted resent the wrong instructions. Also, the manual for this crib is not on their website (although it seems every other is…grr.) The problem was corrected after we called the company and asked to speak directly to the person we had been emailing, and he was able to send the correct instructions. You WILL need two people to put this together! It’s nice, no blemishes, and seems true to the photo advertised. Worth the money, especially with free shipping.
After reading the mixed reviews on this product, I was hesitant to buy, but bought it anyway because I was in love with the design. I have no regrets. It did take about 4 hours for my boyfriend to put together, however all the parts were there, it wasn’t damaged at all. We haven’t had our baby yet, so I can’t say for sure how great it is with baby in it. For now, it seems very sturdy. Overall, we are very satisfied with this product.
My son was able to assemble it in one day. My granddaughter now have a crib, changing table drawers to put her clothes and selves for her baby items. This is the perfect gift for a young family. The crib also grows and changes with the child.
