Was exactly as described and arrived quickly. I put them on the dresser so my little one wouldn’t go in a pull out clothing. Unfortunately his hands were the perfect size to be able to reach in and get the clothes. We also used these on the cupboards and they worked perfectly for keeping him out of the glass bowls and pots and pans.

  2. These are good ones
These work better than most other brands I’ve tried. They aren’t super solid, so babies do manage to wiggle them out of place from time to time, resulting in them either not closing smoothly or not latching when opening. But they’re just adjustable enough that you can loosen up the screw and move them back into place.

They work, installing a ton of these is annoying, but I imagine that with all of these products.

  4. Five Stars
    2 years later going strong.

  5. Poor quality
I tried to get a hold of the company, sent 2 emails and no reply. I went away on vacation and forgot to return and now this is on the floor in a corner because i ran out of time to return.

  6. super
    They are great

  7. Not for all cabinets
Didn’t really work on my cabinets… had to give them away

  8. Four Stars
The screws are made of cheap metal – OK for particleboard but need extra pre-drilling for real wood.

  9. These work well and we’re easy to install. They seem a bit flimsy but haven’t had any break so far.

  10. Very easy to use. We installed them literally days before our little guy got cabinet curious. They have worked well and held up to his 22lbs of body weight tugging on them for hours on end. They only downside, while they are easy to install a lot of the time the angle to get the drill them into the cabinet and drawer can be tricky. Use a magnetic drill bit for easier installation

  11. My wife and I have a 16-month old daughter, and these safety catches have worked quite well in preventing her from opening cabinets in the kitchen. We have now had these installed for just over a month, with none of them breaking or malfunctioning. We are solely using these catches on cabinets, not on any drawers. Your experience could be different from ours, if you are focusing on drawers. We had searched around online and read reviews on various options to meet our need. In the end, we felt these catches were the best solution for several reasons:1) They are inexpensive.2) They do not show on the exterior of the cabinets, so there is no eyesore with which to deal.3) Opening up the cabinets (with the catches installed) is not all that cumbersome.I had been hesitant to purchase and install these in light of the many negative reviews. Just now, I took some time to re-read many of those negative reviews. I will give my hypotheses as to how these critics have [potentially] erred:Critic #1 — “they break easily” — for our family, normal wear and tear is not causing any of them to break. In fact, just tonight I had forgotten about the latches and yanked with some force on a cabinet (I was going for Oreos), and the catch did the trick just fine. Now, if you have kids that are actively setting out to break these things, then maybe it could happen. But if you’re kids are doing that, I would say you have a bigger problem. As we grow our family (we just had our second child), I will update this review to share how the catches are holding up for us.Critic #2 — “latch pops out and drawer opens” — this is user error, plain and simple. When installing these catches, you do need to be careful about your placement of the two pieces. The long piece needs to be attached so as to have very, very little clearance when closing the cabinet/drawer. That way, the “lip” of the long piece is catching as much of the small piece as possible. If my explanation does not make sense, the YouTube videos should make my meaning clear.Critic #3 — “the catches are too long, so my child fit her hands in too far” — I guess this is plausible, but I think it was a freak accident. After installation in our home, the cabinets can be opened up 2 or 3 inches, tops. Our 16-month old daughter has not even thought to try reaching her off-hand into the cabinet (while her active hand holds the cabinet open). While they do take a bit of time to install, it’s well worth the effort. Once our daughter learned the catches would prevent her from opening the cabinets (and dumping the contents of the cabinet onto the floor), she quickly gave up even trying to open the cabinets. Mission accomplished. It’s worth taking a few minutes to watch a YouTube video (or two) on how to install them properly. It’s relatively intuitive, but the instructions on the packaging are not particularly helpful.I did use a #8 drill bit for pilot holes for the screws. I also used a flat-head screwdriver to manually drive the screws into the wood. That worked much better than a Philips head screwdriver. One other common sense consideration is to make sure the thickness of your cabinet is sufficient to handle the length of the screws. On a couple of my cabinets, I had to be careful about exactly where I drilled my pilot holes, since there were portions of our cabinets that would not have been thick enough to house the entire length of the screw (i.e. the screw would have popped through to the exterior face of the cabinet..which would be bad).

  12. Very easy to use and put on cabinets.

  13. A few broke when gently pulled on.
