Bought these to prevent my toddler from opening our front door. Served multiple purpose for my need! Sturdy enough for extra locking support. Also fixed my door (had draft coming in as door was out of plane). Good buy!
Door security for doors
It is easy to use and install. But manufacturer must give more clear detail instruction “How to install?” and “How to open and close lock?” I play around and find out how to open lock/close lock. It is not hard to figure out open/close lock but first timer user will be wondering about how it is going to open & close lock. Overall this is worth for extra security lock for your doors. It gives you extra peace of mind for your security.

Pros: sturdy, easy lock and unlock, relatively easy to install, nice clean look and feel. Can be installed somewhere your kids can’t reach it, so you don’t have to worry about them opening the door for strangers or wondering outside.Cons: not all door frames will work with this type. I had 6 doors that I wanted to use this for, but only 4 of them work. the other 2 that doesn’t work is there the door is too recessed. Just remember that this needs to be installed between your door and frame and that the locking part needs to be able to open and close as well.Final Thoughts: while I haven’t tested the sturdiness of the product by ramming my shoulder into it and see whether my shoulder will give or the door will give. I think it does add an extra peace of mind. I would recommend this, but do make sure it does work for your door type.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly on my door where the height of 2 surfaces are not the same. Chain and bar lock didnât work. Finish is very smooth and looks durable.
These door locks are very simple to install and use. We got them because our daughter would open the door whenever we got packages not knowing who was there. This concerned us, and we were able to install it about 5â off the ground on the frame of the door. The added security on our door is welcomed too.
A little difficult to install but perhaps that’s just me. Good, sturdy pieces that do exactly what you want them to do.
I ordered a couple sets of these because my 5 year old knows how to open the front door. One morning he got excited thinking his uncle was at the door and opened it.. To the mailman.These are not real hard to install and once in place are actually pretty secure so that kids can’t open the door easily.These locks are great to keep someone from getting in your door as well. When installing one on the front door I messed up and didn’t space it right. Once it was locked that was it. I couldn’t get it unlocked. It took me half an hour to literally pry the thing off with a screw driver because I couldn’t get out the front door. Lesson learned. Make sure you space it properly before closing your door and locking the device.I also have a metal door and can’t add a deadbolt or other locks to the door so this is perfect. These install on the inside of the door frame, not the door.I can’t recommend these enough. The screws this one came with aren’t long enough but any hardware store will have some you can get.
This product is super easy to install IF you have a gap between the door and jamb. If your door to striker distance is tight, this product wonât fit. The mounting bracket must be installed between the door edge and jamb.The product works well and is simple to manipulate. Iâve used both devices on one door. One high and one low. If someone wants to get into your space they will. Locks will only slow the intruder down or discourage them. This, like all security devices, should be just one part of a complete system.The only problem with this purchase was that I received an open box item. Although there was nothing wrong with the item, I just believe that if I pay full price I should receive a perfect item.
This is exactly what we were looking for! Our toddlers learned how to unlock& open our front door & we were not going to risk them doing that when we werenât in the same room, so we immediately ordered one of these & it is so heavy duty & gives us such peace of mind knowing that they canât open the front door anymore! I would recommend this to anyone who has little ones or just anyone who is concerned about an intruder! It would be impossible for someone to break in if you had this closed on your doors!
