Great little ambient noise machine
We live on a pretty busy road fire station half a mile south and ambulance about a mile east; our neighbors across the backyard often party into the wee hours, so even with the windows closed it is hard to get to sleep sometimes and stay asleep. I have been using ear plugs but sometimes the sound of me breathing resonates in my head and if I don’t change them frequently I get ear aches. So I thought I would try a white noise generator.This little unit is great.I received it the day after I ordered it so I tried it with a 30 min power nap in the afternoon, using the rainfall setting. Very soothing, very restful. That night I tried it, again with the rainfall and I got to sleep fairly quickly and back to sleep when I awoke in the night (nature call).The unit is well constructed and the controls are very straightforward. Each of the 4 groupings of sounds cycles as you press each of 4 buttons. When the cycle repeats you get a beep to let you know you are back at the start. There is a timer on the back 30/60/90 min I have not used this. If you don’t set a timer it runs continuously until you turn it off. The power cord is a proprietary USB cable… USB on one end pole jack on the other end…you should be able to run it from a powerbank… there is a USB wall plug. You can plug in head phones. The sound quality is good and with a variety of sounds to choose from you should be able to find one that suits you.

I use this product every night due to my loud neighbors, and it has improved my sleep overall. It has a lot of noise options, but the one that works for me is the fan sound. I have had no problems with it so far, it skips the sound sometimes – not sure if this is normal, or my device is malfunctioning, but it’s tolerable. I would also like the option of having it cable-free closer to my bed when using it, but it needs to be plugged into a power outlet so not 100% travel-friendly.

Ever since my teen years (40 years ago) I had a hard time sleeping. I was a really light sleeper and any small noise would wake me. I had little bouts of insomnia here and there too. I carried on with my life thinking this was my normal. About two years ago I started waking anywhere between 1 am to 3 am and I’d be wide awake and not able to go back to sleep. This happened quite frequently and I just accepted it. This past summer we had a hot spell and for the first time ever I started sleeping with the fan on. I had never been able to fall asleep with noise before so I was quite surprised when the lull of the fan put me to sleep. Once fall arrived, I was telling my sister how I slept better with the fan on. She told me I wouldn’t be able to do that in the winter as my house is old and very cold and I don’t run the heat at night. I told her I’d cross that bridge when the time came. She then suggested I get a noise machine. I did some research and decided on this machine. This little gem has changed my life! I can go nights sleeping soundly until just before my alarm goes off. I really didn’t know what good sleep was like. Now I only have the very rare night when I wake at 2 am. I now realize how important a good night’s sleep is mentally and physically. I love that there is an oscillating fan sound that puts me to sleep within minutes of my head hitting the pillow. I even use it while reading as the sound relaxes me.FYI this is my first ever review. I highly recommend this machine and hope it changes your life too.

I never ever thought I would purchase a sound machine. This is compact it’s just perfect. There’s no words to describe it! I have to sleep with a fan on! Always. Since I was like 12 yrs old! I ran across this item and the price was perfect! The directions are very easy to follow. Plus you can also extend the warranty by 24 months if you email the company your order number from Amazon, which I thought was fabulous. It has so many different sounds, I was blown away! It even has a airplane sound. I believe there are five different sounds for each series. Such as the fan sound, there are five different type of fan sounds. I believe 20 sounds in all. When I use to travel to my ex mother in laws house, I knew she did not have a fan. I would have to bring a small one with me. I also travel out of state to visit my grown daughters, if I stay over night at a hotel while driving to their state, I never have a fan! Well this is a game changer. It’s so compact you can just place it in your suitcase and you’re good to go. I’m so happy I bought this! I did tell the company when I sent them an email to extend my warranty since I was with the Air Force one of my favorite sounds are military jets once you live in military housing you get use to the sound of jets constantly flying over your house so that’s like a fan to me, hearing the sound of F-16s and F-35s flying over one’s house. I asked them on the next one they release, if they could add that sound and also trains! I live very close to Canadian pacific in Canadian national railyards…but unfortunately, it’s in the back of my house, and my bedroom is in the front of the house, so I really can’t hear them. But I love the sound of them! This would make a perfect gift for anyone or for yourself. If you’re thinking about purchasing a sound machine, this one’s perfect I would not pass this one up. I am very happy that I came across this excellent product! P.S. I no longer need to use my fan to fall asleep. This sound machine does a perfect job!

I bought one of these two years ago to travel with and liked it so much that it became a nightstand staple. I just bought a 2nd one to travel with so the other one can stay by my bed, It is small enough to fit easily in my luggage and it helps drown out noise for better sleep. The only problem is that it does not default to ON after a power outtage/breaker trip so if the power flickers overnight I wake up because the sound machine is not on….LOL
