So much better than I expected!
I bought this without high hopes since I already had a very expensive “door buddy strap” which was a waste of money.So I was very pleasant surprised when I saw how easy it was to install, how amazing it’s the adhesive and how secure my door is not. My 3 years old cannot open the basement door (which is the goal) and my cats can easily go downstairs to eat and use the litter.I’m extremely satisfied and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple and effective solution for kids and pets.
Exactly what I needed!
So I have 2 small dogs that just love to get into the cat litter (gross I know!). I didn’t want to cut a hole in my door for a cat door but I also didn’t want to make my cat do a ton of work to get to his litter. I saw this and it is perfect! It uses adhesive so no damage to my door and super easy to install! I can adjust it so my cat can fit through easily but now my dogs can’t get in to make a mess!
Works great
I like that my cat can go in and out of his food/litter room without the risk of the door shutting him out. It keeps baby out of his room. The adhesive seems really strong. Easy to install, can use screws if you need added security. Itâs half the price of other baby proof door latches that I was looking at.Only downside is that it is definitely one handed to open the latch but I seem to need two hands to reset the latch. Also I wish there were more settings for length but I certainly made it work. Not looking forward to when I have to remove the latches because there will be damage to the surfaces, but nothing that a touch up wonât fix.
It does what it’s supposed to
I have a sliding door and wasn’t sure if it will be ok but I’m surprised of how I like this thing. It’s easy to install. I didn’t use the screws that came with it because I think that the glue behind it is strong enough. I even purchased a second one.

Wow! Just got a new kitten and i live in an appartement where my roommate has a dog! Purchased this for my new cat and it was so easy to install! Got it done in max 5mins. It work great and is good quality! 100% would recommend this product! My mom will also be getting it to separate here kitten and the dog!
Good buy
I’m impressed with this. It opens and closes easily and keeps my baby from pinching their fingers in their door. I’m also using it as a baby gate as my baby is a climber and other gates just seem to be a new challenge. I can hear them and there is good air flow to the rest of the home.
Great for cats
This is fantastic we use it to keep the door open for our cat to use the litter box. this way the door doesnt get closed accidentally
Easily one of the best purchases I made this year! I have 2 fur babies (a cat & a dog).. so you should know where this is going lol.. My dog kept eating the litter/waste from the cat and after trying different things to get her to stop this magically appeared! It was easy to set up and I no longer have a problem! It stays at the length you set it at, so no accidental closures. If you also have a feline & k9 bestie this is product a must!
This was pretty easy to instalte. I got a little confused about what part went where, I wish the pictures were a bit more clear. But I figured it out shortly after fooling with it. I love that there’s different notches for length to make a wider or smaller gap. My door is right against TWO walls, which is probably pretty unusual ! So I added a rubber band or headband and threaded it into the hole , and then attached it to the hook on the door to make the door open wider. Because I have a wall next to my door, the space wasn’t big enough for a cat to get through even on the highest setting. I’ll be getting another one for my mom’s door ! We have an issue of trying to sleep in a bedroom, and cats being able to barge through the closed doors or scratching to get in. However we don’t want the door ALL the way open. You can crack the door by using a door stopper or putting something against the door, but that can be moved by the cat- and especially by kids if you have kids. I also use it as a child “lock” for when I don’t want my kid in. He can’t reach that high up and it basically almost closes the door on the tightest setting (at least for me and the way my particular doorway is).I showed in the photographs how little of a door gap I have using the longest setting WITHOUT the headband attached. With my finger along the length of the gap, you can tell it’s a small space and I have two fatter cats (not unhealthy fat, just not slender cats either) that can’t fit and aren’t very flexible and can’t wedge in. I’m sure some people’s cats could easily fit through there. Because you see there’s a wall right there, it makes it a little harder to get through.Oh and it’s great for having just enough space for your child to fit through. I do this when I’m napping and my mom is watching him, if he wants to visit he can slip through without me having to keep my door open for him or have my door swing wide open. There are door stoppers but he would probably play with them and move it !!Please excuse our old doors…older home and cats have scratched at the doors – carpet when they were little !
