For context – I have severe anxiety thanks to my PTSD. I also have OCPD (obsessive compulsive personality disorder) which shorthand means Iâm obsessed with certain details and following rules etc. This paired with me and father are both disabled veterans who struggle with sleep and he sleeps heavily – you can imagine my anxiety as a first time parent who has a fear of SIDS.With that said I held back on purchasing this under the guise that since Iâll be home for almost two months, I wonât need it till I go back to work – WRONG. My newborn often sleeps on his side and scoots himself to the edge of his bassinet to get closer to me. The fear of SIDS or missing something like shortened breath or him not being able to breathe kept me up for 4-5 days until I literally started hallucinating.I got this with hopes that it will take the edge off of my need to monitor him and once I put everything together I could almost cry. The camera is good enough quality and moves well enough that I can watch him in the bassinet from home or at work – even in a darkened room. It has a speaker option which I am so happy for if I need to call out to dad to wake up. They also apparently have a cry alarm in beta which I havenât activated yet but look forward to trying when I go to work. The sock seems fair right now. I care more about if oxygen is low and heart rate is too high/too low. The app monitor sleep patterns which isnât something I care about but is useful. The mount for the camera is attached snugly to my bassinet. It feels sturdy enough. This was a bit pricier because of the but I know itâs gonna help me a lot. I canât stop SIDS but I can do my best to prevent it and monitor my child in the meantime.I am not too crazy about the sick battery life. I know itâs something Iâm gonna have to keep charged up.
I really wanted this product to work because I love the concept. But, in the end, I gave up on dealing with the Eufy tech service and returned it. I believe that this product is having major quality control issues (maybe they switched manufacturer or something?). It no longer works. The current product (purchased in Sep 2024) has two major issues:(1) First, the sock base begins beeping when the sock reaches a charge of 84% or higher. The beep is related to the sock repetitively disconnecting from the base as it continues charging. Eufy tech support kindly sent me a new base but the new base had the same problem!(2) The second issue is that night vision on the video monitor stopped working after a few days of use. That renders the product useless at night.Don’t buy it until they get their quality control sorted out!
I bought this for my son and daughter in law after they had their child. They had gotten 2 other brand name devices before the birth. One didn’t have a crib mount for them to view into the crib and the other wouldn’t even connect to phone or pick up child’s stats. After a few sleepless nights, this kit finally arrived and now they both have enough peace of mind to relax and enjoy their L.O. I was extremely impressed with the clarity of the camera and how seamless the sleep monitor, camera and base mesh. The app is easy to use and track how sleeping patterns are. I will definitely be recommending for future parents to have. Seeing first-hand, the relief on their faces? 5 stars.
I had a SIDS premonition for our foster infant. This was not a worryâ¦it was a premonition. We got him on day 13 and I needed a monitor immediately. The sock is comfortable for him to wear, the app is excellent and both of us can use the app on multiple phones. The camera has a good motion range so I can clearly see him rest anywhere. The sock battery charge lasts a long time. Then it happened. One night, the actual puck, my phone and my husbands phones started alarming. We picked him up and checked what was wrong. His heart rate had dropped from 145 (normal range for an infant) to 77.FYIâ¦you should start CPR chest compressions if the heart drops below 60I am convinced that this monitor SAVED HIM by alerting us. Is my premonition gone? Yes, but will this will be on him until he grows out of every single sock size even is when he goes to kindergarten? Absolutely.
From the very beginning I had issues with the foot monitor, some nights no matter how good I would position it, it would not have accurate reads. My baby would roll onto his tummy around 4 months old and from that rolling it would throw the sensor off, it would not read when he moved onto his tummy. Recently itâs been reading low or too high which does not make sense to me. Itâs updated and itâs in great condition but does not work properly. The camera features are great. Eufy makes great cameras but not good monitors
