Works great
This is a pretty neat little camera. I wanted to be able to check in on my kids or my dog while I’m away, and this allows me to do that, as well as to use the camera as a two-way intercom. It was quite simple to set up once I downloaded the Eufy Security app. Adding it to my wifi network was quick and painless and then it was pretty much ready to use.The camera itself is compact, yet feels sturdy and well built. It came with a power cord, wall adapter, wall mount and hardware. Its small size makes it easy to sit on a shelf or table, plus I like to be able to move it from room to room, so I’ll probably forego the wall mounting. There is a micro SD slot on the underside of the round “head” of the unit so you can store recordings and pictures locally. No subscription required, hooray!The most impressive feature is the picture quality, which is excellent. The camera has a wide range of motion so I can pan all around the room, as well as zoom in for a closer look. The audio is ok, nothing too special and there is a slight delay, but it’s fine for my needs. If this had been around 10 years ago I would have used it as a baby monitor. You can choose human or pet tracking and the camera will follow any people or pets.One thing I didn’t like when I had notifications on was that I was getting non-stop notifications that “someone has been spotted”. So you need to work through all the settings to make sure you have things configured to your liking, and that takes a bit of time, plus trial and error. Worth it when it’s done though.There are so many features with this camera, I can’t possibly touch on all of them. I’m a pretty basic user, and the most important points for me are user friendliness, build quality, HD picture quality and the ability to use as an intercom. The rest is impressive, but less critical. This is a great indoor camera for my needs and a nice addition to my growing list of Eufy products.
I do have one complaint; when I leave the house it goes offline sometimes.
Had a bit of problem connecting to HomeKit but worked out in the end. Now it is seemless. Great quality picture.

Bult into the camera it has the following detection types:Human RecognitionHuman DetectionVehicle Detection (Beta)Pet Detection (Beta)All other motions-Your various detections are better once you connect it to a homebase because it uses the intelligence of the HB to help with that. For my testing I have it connected to a HB3.-This camera has all the standard features that most EUFY Cameras have, including AI Motion tracking since it can Pan/Tilt. Sound detection, Audible Alarm, spotlight, Privacy Angle. Familiar Faces and cross-camera tracking if you have this connected to the Homebase.-Overall this is a decent camera. Itâs pretty lightweight and easy to setup. The Black and white night vision works well, and the audio wasn’t bad either, both for the speaker and the Microphone.-The biggest downside of this camera is the frame rate. 15fps is a bit low at times, especially during night vision since it will drop down a bit to around 10-12 depending on the motion and if you are using Auto tracking. I WISH they had a max FPS of say 20, then B&W could be about 15. That would have been better performing.-But if you are in the EUFY Ecosystem, you have the HB3 and need an indoor camera, I think this is a good addition for you, especially with the 4K resolution. Many smaller brands many list the 4k resolution but their overall clarity still suffers. With this, the clarity was there. I felt the pictures were sharp and the colors/saturation felt accurate. Thats a big PLUS. I can recommend it.
I have parrots. I like to be able to check on them during the day and so I can see what happened if they have issues.This camera has very sharp clear video and audio and will record to a micro SD card for free. The motion tracking is fast and acurrate and you can set it to detect animal, human, both, or disabled.It was easy enough to set up the app on my phone and get the camera settings the way I wanted.I put a 128gig card out of the camera I retired in it and it detected it and asked to format it.Works fine on my 2.4 ghz wifi and plays back clearly and smoothly.Not bad for the money and even better on sale.
