Elegant and useful
This gate might not hold against a focused assault, but it is plenty strong to support a baby trying to stand up. It looks very nice and is easy to set up and take down with one hand. It comes with pads to glue on the wall â these are actually very handy when you need to set up the gate at an angle to the wall. This was a must for us.
Does the job but not very convenient
This product is very flimsy, and hard to set up as one person but works to keep our pets separated.
Good price point however not sturdy enough for my dog.
Had to permanently attach to wall with brackets. Didn’t want to do this for a temporary application. Wasn’t very workable for my staircase design. Didn’t like the locking device. I’ve used others made of plastic that work better. Thanks
Works as described
Works as described. Cheaper than where I usually get it from so that was great. I got it to keep my bunnies out of rooms, but unfortunately they chew on the plastic separator parts. No fault of the seller, just didnât think it through before buying. 5 stars!
Did not fit our needs
We bought this with the idea of blocking off our storage closet, the “doorway” measures just under 42 inches (according to instructions it says to go up in size if the measurement is in between 2 of the notches) unfortunately the gate doesn’t work over the baseboard moulding and the doorway has exactly that. So instead, just as a test, I tried placing the gate just above the moudling and it is SUPER flimsy and the 4 rubber pads don’t all stay in place. Now, that might be due to the doorway (or a wall) being not completely even but since the only real pressure point on this gate is in the middle it doesn’t hold up well to any force pushing from top or bottom of the gate.We DO NOT recommend this product… Babies safety comes before anything else, no matter how “good” the price is. Thought a brand like Evenflo would be a good brand to get a baby gate but clearly we were wrong. I felt like this contraption was going to literally snap in half as I tried to put in in place.Worst part of this is we bought this so we would have it on hand for when baby became more mobile… and now returning isn’t an option. Instead of being used to prevent baby from getting into the storage closet, it is now going to be a permanent resident there, or thrown in a dumpster.This isn’t even worth donating, wouldn’t want my donation to be the result in someone having to pay for literal garbage or worse, having their baby get injured.
Flimsy, cheap
I barely got it out of the box, put it right back in and returned it. Spend the extra couple bucks and buy the other one. Too light, too flimsy, too cheap, needs installed . Would not hold my bulldog in.
Worth the price
Worth buying. We use it for our small dog and it works great.
Itâs okay
Itâs not the sturdiest of gates, I wouldnât go putting it at the top of any stairs. This is my second one, the first one snapped at the adjustment area. I use it to keep my dog and child out of my office, so that I can keep the door open. If they tried hard enough, they could certainly bust it down.
This is exactly what I expected — not as sturdy and amazing as the more expensive pressure mounted metal gate but sturdy enough to keep a young toddler within a certain area. Very easy to set up and easy to move as needed. I’ve had no issues with marks left on doorways. This gate has not been effective for an Australian Shepard pup, if you are using this for pets ð

For $10 bucks I thought I’d give this a try. Not only does it keep our naughty yorkie off our carpeted rooms, but it also withstands the beating of my toddler. I’d recommend watching a YouTube video on how to install the gate though–it was somewhat confusing for someone who has never dealt with child gates before, but extremely simple once I figured it out.Pros-Great deal!! I bought it at a cheaper price than was offered at Walmart.-Super easy to set up and adjust to different door frame sizes (again took me a minute at first and then it was like “oh duh”)-short and easy to step over as you move from room to roomCons-material isn’t heavy duty. I wouldn’t trust this gate to protect my child from stairs.-I’ve only had mine for a month and it’s still holding up, but I doubt it will last longer than a year or so.
I purchased this for my 4 month old puppy for whom we wanted restricted access to certain areas of the house. Without any damage to my existing walls or door panels, this accessory proved worthy of its cost. Wonderful !!
I have a dog that steals food from the counter and a toddler that is into everything! I needed a gate that was reasonably priced and functional. I didn’t need bells or whistles. These are just that. They’re basic, so don’t expect anything fancy. The outer casing / border is wood, however the middle is plastic. They’re pretty easy to install / use once you get the hang of it. And they lock on very well and don’t budge easily. I first tried to figure out how to work it without reading the instructions but quickly learned that it was better to give the instructions a once over. Definitely measure your space ahead of time as it makes lining up the locking rod so much easier. Guessing is no fun. For the price I paid, I’m very happy with these gates. They seem sturdy enough and serve their purpose well.
