Great Montessori toy
This is a really nice high-quality Montessori toy. It has a really smooth wood finish, and overall is very aesthetically pleasing. It has a few features in comparison to other boxes, I have noted them below.-The side of The box thatâs a mirror has a really nice lid to it which is great so the mirror wonât get scratched up and also it works as an activity for the child to put the lid on and off.-It has a coin slot which is nice, my only complaint is it only comes with one wooden coin. A lot of kids really like the coin play so it would be nice if it came with multiple.-The matching blocks are pretty standard, the shapes themselves are made of wood and are high-quality.-The sticks that get placed are the only part of this box that I recommend complete supervision for. They are thin wooden sticks so they could be broken or a child can easily injure themselves with them. However when supervising the child they do love these they use their fine motor skills to match the sticks.-The ball is really nice as well because it does have a string that works as a little barrier which makes it a little more challenging.-The fake wooden cutting tool is amazing, it comes with the little strawberries to cut. This is definitely my childâs favourite feature.Overall this is a great toy, lots of different activities to keep your child busy. Makes for a great gift because it comes in a nice box.
Excellent for developing skills!
Got this for my 12-month old niece (because my sister told me to lol). My sister raves over Montessori toys, and this toy in particular is apparently the PERFECT toy for a kid my nieceâs age. Itâs the perfect size: not too big and not too small, and the different openings make it ideal for my niece to refine her motor skills.The toy is pristinely made and designed — itâs ready to go out of the box, without assembly, and there are no raw or jagged edges in the wood or in the other toy components. Bear in mind, the cube does NOT have rounded edges, so you definitely have to supervise your little one while they are playing! At this stage, my nieceâs favourite activities are the carrot harvest, mirror peekaboo, and the coin drop. Regarding the latter, she sometimes has difficulty with putting the coin directly in the slot, so we tend to use the ball drop opening instead. As she gets better and better with her coordination, weâll go back to the coin drop slot instead.Compared to some of the flashier, brighter, more plastic-y toys out there, this little Montessori cube might not seem like much, especially for its price⦠but trust, itâs a GREAT little toy to help your kid with development and motor skills!
Great for kids to learn about shapes
This wooden tire is perfect for a small babies and kids. It allows the kids to learn about different shapes. These are also sensory toys. So great for learning about using different types of material. This is made of wood so not very sharp or hard for the kids.

This is an excellent wooden toy set, perfect for play-based learning.Its got a great variety of uses and learning opportunities. I also like that it packs up really nicely inside the cube.Overall I am very happy with it.

What a cute playset!Smooth edges, cute included utensils for the kids to play with. The fruits are velcro’d together instead of magnets like the top box parts. The additional shapes for the slide hole games are smooth as well.Color coding gives a challenge to the kids as well. Great learning playset!
Good quality
I feel kind of old admitting this, but there’s something about a wooden toy.It just feels right.It certainly feels better than all that plastic.This sorting box is extra nice because it has a variety of things for kids to explore:carrots that are velcroed together and can be “sliced” in half with the “knife”shapes that can be sorted by corresponding hole, and come in different colourswooden sticksa mirrorAnd even better: all accessories fit into the box for easy storage!
My grandbaby who is too young to fully comprehend the sorting exercises still seemed to have a lot of fun going through all the different pieces that came with the set. This is definitely an excellent choice for a baby basket. I can confirm that the product is well-made and easy to put away. I have been told by others that it is not only really cute but also the perfect toy. The fake wooden cutting tool is the best and everyone seems to agree that the quality is high and the toy is very aesthetically pleasing, with a smooth wood finish. The toy is reported to be perfect for a kid around 1 year old, not too big and not too small, and the different openings make it ideal for refining motor skills. The only downside to the toy is the thin wooden sticks, which can be a hazard to unsupervised children.
This is one of the items in our toy rotation that leaves me unsure of how much I like it or not.The size of the box is great for my 1yo. It is not too big/heavy that they can’t pick it up and carry to wherever they are playing; but it is also not too small that the activities don’t fit well. Individually, each of the activities on this box are great. There are 4 color coded carrots that the child can match to the right color hole. The carrots can be “cut” and assembled back, which my child loves. We have a shape sorter, coin slot, and finally, another well loved activity to put sticks in the right color hole.The problem with this box is that it has too many activities together. This makes it hard for the child to isolate and concentrate on one of them. My child is constantly changing from one to the other without finishing either. Additionally, the bottom part of the box is attached via a magnet (so that you can open and retrieve items from the inside, but that magnet is not strong enough. Thus, the part keeps falling off (I just put it away for now). This is why I don’t like it, I wish there was a better way to properly isolate each of the wonderful activities that this box provides.
We gifted this set to our neice and she LOVES it! It is very well made and the pieces aren’t too small for her. The colours are bright enough to get her attention while still giving off a natural feel due to the natural wood.
This toy appears to be well-made of good wood and has a nice smooth finish. The mirror on the lid is clear with bright reflection. The top fits to the box magnetically. The play pieces fit nicely in their various shapes. There are 4 roundish pieces that kind of look like short carrots, but each is a different color. They are adorable. There are also a number of sticks made of wood 4 inches long and 1/8 of an inch wide. These worry me a bit if a child under age 3 would play with it. Even some of the shaped pieces are too small for ages less than 3 years. This type of toy is what a 3- or 4-year-old might call a âbaby toyâ. I would also worry with giving the sticks to a 4-year-old, they could poke it in their face or another childâs ear, nose or eyes. Not sure if they would benefit from it. The Package does warn not to allow children under 3 to play with it.
I ordered this as a gift for a one-year-old, but I think some of the pieces (particularly the long, thin ones) are not really appropriate for a child under 3. The box indicates for ages 3 and up, but this kind of toy is really aimed for younger children, so that’s a bit odd to me. However, the other pieces are larger, so if you just remove the long pegs till the child is older, it would be more suitable. The lid closes with a magnet, which is fantastic for storage – all the pieces can be tossed inside, and the lid will close. The colors are pretty and vibrant. The item I received does not have any issues with paint chipping as I saw in some other reviews.
