My son uses it everyday. Keeps hot food hot and cold food cold. Itâs also a great size, bigger than most bento boxes Iâve seen. We love it.
UPDATE 11/10/23: still going strong! Nuances- My kid lost the pink removable holder for the utensils and the small triangle flap for the condiment cup lid. I reached out to seller for a replacement and they said theyâd send it but that was about a month or so ago, I donât think theyâll be sending it. Had to put tape on each side of the lid to cover the holes and canât put liquid in it anymore. Otherwise, everything is still working as it should and we are still happy with the purchase!Itâs just a little on the heavier side for smaller kids, but still pretty easy to carry short distances like from the bus to class & then cafeteria. 7×7 bento is prefect for portion sizes & the thermos is great for Mac & cheese, pasta, chicken nugs. my 5 year old said her thermos food is still warm enough to eat at lunch (11am). The plastic ware is good quality. My daughter has no issue opening the bento or condiment cup & only asks for help with the thermos. It is proven to be leak proof in our case as you can see! I ensure the air hole flaps are open while pressing down on the lid for the insert & then pressing the flaps closed once all air is out. Ive also had success in packing her cold lunch the night before and taking it out the fridge to put in the lunch bag in the morning. Nothing is soggy! Due to the weight of the bag when all pieces are in it, weâve mixed & matched to make it just a little lighter. (Ex:) Cold lunch only with ice pack & a small juice on the side, or thermos with a lightly packed bento & small juice in the book bag instead. Iâve only hand washed and donât plan on using in the dishwasher. I separate the silicone seals from the lids and wash them each night or every other night. I hand dry immediately to help avoid any mold growth. So glad I picked this and itâs still working very well for us after 3 weeks ð
My 9 year old absolutely loves his new bento box. There’s so much space. It’s easy to clean and use. I definitely recommend. I might buy one for myself haha. 10/10. Great purchase.
I have a 4 & 5 year old, we purchased 2 of the kits and additional matching water bottles. I love the size of the box, it fit 4 slices of pizza and the sauce, the compartments are very deep unlike some of the other bento style boxes Iâve seen. The top plate that seals the box is very easy to open both kids do it no problem. The thermos is a little harder for them to open. The utensils are not thin plastic they are good quality. We havenât had any issues with leaking, my kids will also occasionally forget to put the sealing plate back on, the food will combine but I havenât had it leak into the actual lunch bag. Iâm havenât not used it in a dish washer only hand washing so I canât comment how it would hold up with that. The box is very light both kids can manage carrying their own. The zippers are not stiff, easy for kids to open. I pack my kids lunches around 6-6:30 am and they donât eat until 12, I did mini corn dogs in the thermos and my kids said they were still warm. It is very easy to clean. The main compartment removes from the box for easier cleaning. I was very excited to find this item, you get everything needed for a great price not to mention great quality. It is a relatively new product with only a few reviews so I thought Iâd go a little more in depth to help the next person out! I did not picture the ice pack but it does come with one.
