I bought this little guy fir my nephews. They bought have adhd and anxiety issues. They bought take them to bed every night and the calming sounds with the soft lighting helps them relax and have a better sleep. This was a great purchase not only a great price but also useful aid. My nephew never goes to bed without it. I am think about purchasing one fir my self. They are cute and very relaxing . Great for babies or bigger kids as well. Definitely helps with aniexty and is very soothing
The only thing that made my kid sleep through the night
I recommend this product to everyone I know. It really works!In under 30 days after purchasing this Otter, my nearly 2 year old is finally sleeping through the night. He would always wake up and cry for us, no matter what we did. It also made our mornings better. He has conversations with the Otter. Itâs his friend and it made him feel safe. We used the light, moving stomach and breathing sounds. We were then able to stop using a sound machine as well as the Otter stays on for 30mins. The only downside is that my son learned how to remove the back mechanicals, itâs too easy to open.
Soothing Toy or Entertaining Cuddle Friend
At first, my child wasnât interested in this toy. I tried using it from her being a fee weeks old, and at random throughout the first year. She finally started to enjoy this toy at around 16 months old, and it has become one of her favourite toys. She loves sotting and watching the little belly go up and down, with the sounds of breathing. She is entertained for quite a bit of time every time she plays with it. I would recommend this for parents, and suggest that if you arenât seeing it helping calm or sooth your baby to sleep, or even as they grow still no interest, it may take time, and they may eventually love it as one of their favourites. Every baby is different, so itâs worth trying!

Better suited for older babies or toddlers
I initially bought this for my 4month old son. I found it to be too big and heavy for him. I didn’t’ find the breathing mechanism helped at all for sleep. I ended up giving it to my 2.5-year-old who LOVED it.What I like about it:-Lighting – the otter emits a very soft, non-blue-light glow which I think is great and does not disrupt sleep.-Battery life – I purchased this 3 months ago and I’ve had to replace the batteries once, and it is used nightly.-very soft and cute washes well and still looks new.-The older child loves it.Drawbacks:-I agree with previous reviewers that the breathing mechanism is quite loud. I can hear it from across the hallway when my daughter engages the button in the night. She doesn’t seem to mind.-While it’s cute, I find it too large for younger babies, and even potentially dangerous for them in a crib. It’s about the size of a cabbage patch doll.-The settings are on the inside of the otter – so if you need to or want to change volume settings, you have to do so before the baby is in bed, or you might wake up the baby with the strong velcro closure.- I also had a hard time getting the right settings working – it seems to be in demo mode at times…-Small children can open the velcro on the back and pull out the light and breathing mechanism box. My daughter does this in the night sometimes and uses the inside mechanism as a flashlight. It’s safe, but still annoying to have her remove it constantly, then ask me to put it back inside.Overall, I think this is better suited to older babies or toddlers. My toddler’s sleep has improved generally since this otter was introduced – she likes to take care of the otter and is comforted by the gentle glow and sweet songs.

This is a cute gift, comes with music and sounds, but the breathing makes a weird prrr sound that my baby doesnât like. So far he doesnât love it, heâs 6 months old, and doesnât sleep alone so I thought this would help, cause he has an otter, hard plastic toy from FP too, that he loves, idk maybe I bought it too late, but Iâd say heâs more scared than excited, Iâll keep trying. Anyways this is pretty cute and does exactly what it says!
My 5 year old never slept in her bed all night til this. Now when she wakes up she knows to roll over, push the belly, and it helps soothe her back to sleep. Great quality. So many sounds. Truly amazing!
I bought this for my dog to keep her company when weâre not home with her. It actually looks like itâs breathing and the music stays soft without being to hatch or too loud. The heartbeat noise on the soft setting along with the breathing seems to entertain my dog.One note, if you buy this for a dog and your dog likes to play tough with studies, beware. Itâs constructed for human babies not dogs so itâs not as durable as a dog you and the machinery is a little heavy and not padded in the back (so you can access the controls) so donât let your pup whip it all around as I could see it being bad for their neck if theyâre small or hurting them if they hit themselves with it.Its adorable, and the white noise from the breathing mechanism is really soothing. I imagine a human baby would also love this.
Wat een leuk, knuffelig ottertje! Zijn buikje geeft licht en gaat zacht op en neer. Ook maakt hij muziek. Wat een superdier. Kwamen wel wat pluisjes van zijn vacht.
