Let me start by saying this is the 3rd gate that I purchased to keep my yorkies in the family room. The first one damaged my woodwork and was too tall to easily step over. The second was mesh and it was too flimsy so the dogs constantly got out.I originally resisted buying this one because it was so expensive. I wish I just picked it first. This clean and unobtrusive design is so easy to install and easy to step over. The adjustment mechanism keeps it securely in place.The only drawback was that the adjustable pieces on each side of fence are not taken into account when the minimum size is listed. If you look at the picture you can see that I was only able to fit one set of adjusters on the right side. The other is directly against the trim. It can slide around a little as a result if it is kicked. Overall, it doesnât affect the performance of the gate so it is not a problem for me. I would double check sizing if your opening is at either end of the listed opening size to make sure you are getting the correct one.
