Straps need to be longer or a different design
It’s good but the straps aren’t long enough for dealing with a 3rd row seat. Other than that, I’m quite happy with it. It’s nice and quiet, unlike a metal one I had previously. Easy to install.
Medium too large (wide) for 2025 Nissan Rogue
I am returning a medium and hopeful a small will fit. The idea of this is fantastic and quality seems good!!
Protection guard
Was easy to put together wish the clips were located in a different spot or you could put them on yourself I had to readjust mine
We bought this as a replacement for a different brand. This screen is an improvement. Fit is accurate, while allowing for wiggle room – Be sure to follow measurement instructions. Screen works great as it’s intended purpose, and allows for good rear view mirror visibility, and passenger visibility.
Used this in conjunction with a solid-floored pet hammock in my Honda Odyssey. The top (headrest) strap worked perfectly but the barrier doesn’t extend very far below it and isn’t remotely long enough to go around a whole vehicle seat. Not as pictured. But I was able to leave the bottom straps loose and use a bunch of bungees to secure the top of the frame fore-and-aft. That made it solid and pulled it up high enough to not block my vision out of the back. So it’s a great product with some tweaking.
I only used it 1x on a 12hr roundtrip. My cat is used to car rides but always likes to be in the front passenger seat. This trip required to have to contain her in the back part of the car to avoid discomfort to the human passenger. At the beginning of the trip, the cat tried to squeeze past the driver seat and this barrier, however I was able to deter her by stuffing that gap with a towel. She hasn’t tried to move past the barrier in any other parts. She’s a small framed, skinny cat, btw.The Pros:This barrier is super easy to install (I didn’t have to use instructions).You can install it and take it down in minutes.It doesn’t take much space when disassembled. Maybe 2 shoe boxes worth of space.They used great quality material so it won’t mess up your fancy, leather car interior.The Cons:If your pet is small and sneaky, they can get around it, because it’s not sitting flush in all the corners. But you can work around that by using stuffing. I.e. I used a sweater in one corner and it was enough.We used this in a crossover car (X2) and with this installed, there was an additional 3-in of a blindspot that I had to get used to while driving. But that’s the price you pay for having padding on the frame so that it doesn’t cut into the interior of the car.All in all, I’d recommend it.
Wow…I could have gotten Medium. Ordered Large for an Xterra and it’s a snug fit.Works well. It was easily assembled. It comes nearly packed with all parts in place; short if three tubes. Those go into the middle at the top, center, and bottom of the barrier. You add those after you snap all the other pieces (the sides) into place. Velcro-secure them in place and done.Seems to be high quality. Wobbly but I assume that’s also so that you can move the seats independently. Once the barrier is in place it’s sturdy.I have seat covers so that made the install a bit annoying but absolutely reasonable to pull off.The large in the Xterra pushes against the plastic door panels on both sides. I can barely get to the door handle from the inside without contortion. Medium may leave too much of a gap but def worth to consider. Therrs only a 2.5″ difference on the sides. I’ll have to see if I can adjust the barrier to fit into the plastic groove between the door panel and the B pillar somehow. The tight fit certainly is not an issue. And normally things tend to be too small. So this was an unexpected positive in it’s own way.Not sure how reliable the clips are that hild the straps together. That’s maybe the only downside that those seem fragile.I’d recommend this product.
This product is awesome. I will be driving old route 66 in a month with my cat, and she likes to be out and about in the car and look out the windows. BUT she always trys to get onto the dash! This thing keeps her out of my space while I drive, and surprisingly fits my little Chevy Spark with the seats folded down perfectly. There’s no gap around the doors at all. I am shocked as I genuinely believed I would have to try multiple products before finding one that fits my car.
