Does this camera support 5Ghz network?
This camera only supports 2.4Ghz netowrk, 5Ghz is not supported. If you are using dual-band netowrk, please make sure the camera connect to the 2.4Ghz network.
Note: 5Ghz≠5G. 5GHz Is One of Two Bands For Wi-Fi while 5G Is The New Cellular Standard.
How to view longer SD card/Cloud recording?
Once you set up SD card or Cloud recording, please clicking “Replay” under live feed and view SD card&Cloud recording. Do not go to Alert page, it’s 10s alert video.
Do I have to subscribe for a Cloud plan?
No, Cloud is optional. The three storage features (local 10s recording/sd card/cloud) are independent of each other.
Why the camera rotates on its own?
Once the camera is plugged, it rotates automatically to do a self-test to make sure the pan&tilt feature works.
Also after you enabled the “auto-tracking” funtion, the camera rotates to follow the motions.

Camera was so easy to set up and the image quality is great, I am very impressed 🙂 My sister is also looking for an inexpensive but great working camera so I recommended this one. I have had the camera for over a month with no glitches. The technical support team at Galayou reached out to me to make sure the camera was working fine, which I appreciated. Thankfully the camera has been working perfectly well, so no support has been needed:)

This camera works just perfect . Its sitting in the living room where my daughter plays whole day . Almost everybody has a access to this camera for security reasons.It has so many security features ,wide view ,clear picture or video . As i said its perfect .full rotation ,motion detection and good sound quality .
Good Camera
Camera was easy to set up & has a nice look to it.It produces good, quality video & has full pan & sufficient tilt capabilities to cover most any areas.Siren is okay. I would prefer it to be louder to scare intruders, but it’s definitely loud enough to get your attention.Motion tracking works with anything that’s not moving too quickly. However, it will lose track of someone walking at a quick pace.The camera is quick to detect movement & produce a video clip. It’s also very quick to send notifications to your phone.All in all, this is a good quality piece of equipment, especially at this price point. It’s not perfect, but I have no issue recommending it to anyone.

I advised it wasnât fully functional and I was offered a replacement camera at no cost from a customer service agent, Ciggie. I received the replacement 2 days later and it works great! Sort story: It is definitely worth the money. I purchased a set of two with the idea to use them with Agent DVR (iSpy) and it did not disappoint.Long story. Camera comes and expected to be used with the companion mobile app. At least all the initial setup (connecting camera to WIFI, enabling ONVIF) is done using mobile app. Setup was quick and easy. Camera supports RTSP, ONVIF (ONVIF needs to be enabled in the mobile app, along with the local account setup) and Agent DVR recognized ONVIF camera without a problem. I did not test it with Blue Iris, but I don’t expect it to have problems. However, PTZ controls only work in the companion mobile app and and DO NOT work in Agent DVR. Customer service did confirm this to be the case. I think it’s unfair to deduct any stars for this since it was never advertised that PTZ would work in 3rd party DVR apps. Video viewing and recording works in Agent DVR just fine. After all the initial setup was done I disabled internet access for camera on the router and it continues working OK locally for video viewing and recording within Agent DVR. My cameras are positioned mostly statically and if I need to use PTZ I would have to connect it back to internet, use mobile app to change the angle, disable internet and so on. Not ideal, but works for me.Overall video quality and feature set is quite impressive for a sub $20 camera.I have to specifically mention customer support. They actually respond to emails and then follow up to see if I had any other questions/problems. Joy from the customer support was especially helpful. Thank you.
First off , price was really good on Galayou G2. Set up and operation smoother than other cameras I have purchased. I had a question about notification of movement and customer rep Ciggie was very helpful. Camera use to monitor movement of elderly relative with dementia. G2 alerted us of movement in the night at 1AM when elderly person wandered outside in mid 30âs temp. The person fell and could not get up. We were able to get nearby family members there quickly and avoided injury and exposure. Care for the elderly sometimes gets complicated. These cameras have been a great supplement to family efforts. Highly recommend.Darrell
