A great looking and fitting hat for half the price of name brands
This is a great all-purpose hat that keeps my face out of the sun when it’s boiling outside. It’s surprisingly lightweight and cool which is a huge bonus. There were a few negative reviews about it somewhere which made me laugh. I saw Eddie Bauer hats for over 50 bucks so I’ll take this one over that any day.
Good hat for sun protection
I’m so glad I got this hat as it helped cool me down and prevent sunburn. I’d give it 5 stars if it weren’t for a missing / loose stitch that I noticed before I used it and it having no pocket when the description said it had a pocket. It is not great quality but the style and fit worked perfectly for what I was looking for. Thank you!
Great protection from an excellent hat.
After returning from New Zealand my wife and I realized the importance of a hat that would shield us from the sun’s rays and help to avoid skin cancer. Fits small
I am not sure if this hat came in different sizes but I think it was one size fits all except it doesn’t, it is a good hat for shade but for me it just barely fit onto my head.
Perfect hat!
I love these hats! They breath but have a good weighted brim so it holds its shape.I love the secret pocket in the head area, I was able to hide money in there while traveling. You can also put a maluable freezer pack there to keep you cool.You can adjust the tightness of the hat with a draw cord at the back but the size is perfect for me as it. I love that it also has the chin strap. You can tuck it in if you don’t need it.I’ve worn both the khaki and the green hat everyday for weeks while backpacking in the sun and, even after washing them, they both still look new. The fabric and stitching are top quality.Great find and great price. Shipping was really fast as well. I highly recommend!

ive been using this hat for 2 years and i still love it. its still in great shape and covers my face enough to keep the sun out but still not too obnoxious to obstruct my vision. ive had a lot of floppy hats to keep the sun off of my face but this one is definitely my favorite

I absolutely love this GearTop hat. I purchased it because my doctor told me to wear sunscreen protection and specifically to wear a wide brimmed hat. I have tons of regular trucker style/baseball style hats, but needed a wide brim. This hat looks great. The color is perfect – not too light so it wonât get dirty and not too dark so it wonât absorb heat. The fit of the hat is also perfect for my large sized head (just as the fitment chart said). It is very lightweight so youâll barely notice it on your head – no real extra weight whatsoever. The drawstring serves as both an adjustment for sizing as well as a way to lock the drawstring under your chin to keep it even more in place for those really windy days. So far I havenât needed to lock in place as the hat fits so well. The thing that really sold me on this hat is the ventilation system. I hate hats that make your hotter and donât ventilate well. This has ventilates amazingly because the circumference area on the upper part of the hat has a mesh that allows for airflow in and heat out. Everyone also thinks that I look pretty good in this hat as I get many compliments so far. The UVF of 50+ in the fabric is also perfect as many of the sunâs rays can get through most clothing. I truly cannot think of a better quality made hat that stays attractive. This hat ticks all the boxes for the perfect hat. Absolutely an emphatic recommend for anyone looking for a great sun hat, hiking hat, gardening hat, etc.
This hat should keep mosquitoes and black flies away from our head and neck while in Greenland, Iceland, and Spitsbergen. It serves as both a ventilated sun hat and a rain hat. The hat and bug netting appear to be soundly designed and constructed from quality materials. And the hat one-size fits both my wife and me. The netting is long enough to fit comfortably under a sweater or jacket, or the netting can hang loose on the outside. It is easily removed by two snaps. We choose the black color because the user is able to see clearest while facing direct, bright sunlight. We also like the Geartop Lifetime Warranty.
