Easy to install, clear video/picture, app features are easy to access and use. Bought these on Prime Day so purchased them at a terrific price.
I like this brand/product with a few issues
The picture quality is nice. Motion and sound detection is reliable, and the IR mode performs good, depending on the ambient lighting and reflective surfaces. However, if you place the camera behind a window, the IR light may reflect off the glass, and it tends to attract moths during summer nights resulting in “motion detected” till the moth leaves or your turn off the IR mode.One of the cameras frequently disconnects, freezes, and then reconnects on its own. Additionally, the live preview on Google Home/Hub is quite slow and doesnât always function as expected. Iâm not sure what causes these issues. The included USB cord is very short, so I replaced the usb cable with a longer one, which works better for my setup.The app is user-friendly, and setup is quick. The mounting uses two holes. Unfortunately, one of the units has an issue where the SD card doesnât stay in place. Im not sure about the privacy encryption.Despite these issues, I like this brand/product, I feel this product offers good value for its price and serves its purpose well overall.I highly recommend it if you want to see your pets while at work/traveling, or if your have younger or elderly relatives, and porch-thefts.

Another Geeni defective product
Let me see, I bought total of 6 Geeni cameras, keeping 4 of them while 2 of them have problem recording (but I let it go). Bought one returned it to Canadian Tire cauz can’t even set it up. Have to return this one cauz it’s as shown in the photo. I came back to buy from Geeni wishing to get something as good as the two good ones, but the situation is incorrigible. Ain’t buying another from them.
Great cameras
These are easy to install. The app is simple to run, add devices and mange everything at once. I love that i can watch all cameras at once on one screen. Sensitivity can be a bit odd in certain light conditions. I know they are indoor cameras but I installed a few outside in the carport and porch protected from precipitation and they have held up great even at -20°.
Their older versions were better
I have the previous 1080p models with the skinny flexible necks p/n: GNCCW017199, and the quality is so much better on the older versions. I use these in my windows to see who’s at my porch, and at night, the quality just isn’t there, with or without the night vision. Mounting these cameras requires screws whereas the previous version had an nice flat base to use double sided tape. I much prefer the older Geeni cameras.

These are the same as the Merkury ones. I have 2 Merkury ones but one of them constantly goes offline or freezes. Not sure why. No issues with these particular ones so far.Picture quality is good – you can make out faces and makes/models of vehicles. Motion detection works well and the IRNV is pretty decent. App is very easy to use. Setup is quick and easy.Mounting method is kind of silly. It’s those keyhole looking slots that are broad and then you slide it over a bolt or screw (think of a picture frame) only you have to twist it instead of sliding horizontally or vertically. Would be have been easier to just bore out 2 holes and put some screws in, but whatever.Aside from the nitpick about the mounting, and the issue with the rebranded camera, I’m satisfied with the value for the money on this product.
Si quieres tener varios dispositivos inalámbricos de este tipo es importante tener una muy buena velocidad de WiFi, por lo menos 150 Mbps porque todos los dispositivos conectados mediante WiFi consumen velocidad: Teléfonos, computadoras, televisiones etc, etc. te recomiendo consultar a tu proveedor de internet, creo que tienes que ir sumando 10 mbps por aparato conectado a la red WiFi, si no se vuelve todo muuuuyyyy lento.

Cámaras de buena resolución, todo funciona como dice pero al momento de querer enlazar a ALEXA, no las detecta, intenté usando varios tutoriales, hasta que de plano me metà a la página de GEENI y usando el chat en vivo me comuniqué con un asesor el cual me dice que desafortunadamente el servicio para enlazar los dispositivos a mi ECHO SHOW no está disponible en México. que mal que no lo especifiquen antes de realizar la compra.
Not sure why these cameras seem to reset. The camera clicks loudly and then make a loud sound. During this time the camera is non functional. did research only to be told there’s an issue with wifi. However, I other cameras same brand (cheaper) that does not do this. The picture is beautiful, but I when the camera resets (plays a sound) it wakes me up out of my sleep.
Iâve had this unit for awhile now and i havecrevised my review. The develooers tekeased it too early its got way too many issues to be useful at any price. It constantly detects motion when none is there thus filling up the cache. You canât hear much. Or see much detail since no zoom function. The video feed is jumpy. You must buy a card if you want to record. i could not get it to work while on cellular… too much delay in the feed. Thereâs two way sound but itâs delayed and sometimes garbled or has feedback. Overall if you need good sound this is not the unit to purchase. You canât watch all cameras at same time and when you switch between them it has a delay in order to reload the feed. The camera pops out of the holder so you can glue it or Velcro it to the wall if you donât want to look at the hideous white plastic. You canât rotate the picture 90 degrees, only flip it. Its physical presence might be a deterrent to thieves or dishonest visitors but no serious criminals since it can be unplugged. The biggest draw back is you either have to unplug each unit when you are home or silence the notifications and just allow it to record you. Who knows where the encrypted channel goes. It dings occasionally for no apparent reason . you have to delete the cache and saved videos occasionally to keep memory down. You can buy a memory chip separately ( though not required). The system requires you to manually activate record, it tells you it detects motion and takes snapshots but if you want to record you must activate that. ( if you have the chip it might do it automatically… not sure) i cannot recommend this system because you cant turn it iff and it is of no real use exceot as a monitor whike you are connected to wifi also technical support is non existant.
