Bought as a gift for my husband. Works great. Givee has a pretty good app and he can check humidity etc. If we had a need for more, would probably buy more

No fuss, just use it
Update January 2024: I now have two separate systems, one installed at our seniors club plus the original at home, both logged on to wifi. And a fancy outdoor Govee string light. I can monitor temperatures while traveling, both at the club and at home. The second Govee thermometer came with six sensors and I added three of them to the three already at home on the old receiver for a total of six sensors plus the light string. The remaining three sensors are installed at the club with the new receiver. The documents with the new system said the receiver could handle 10 devices. I wonder if this is due to the firmware update. So both the old receiver and the new receiver can handle 10 devices as of January, 2024. On the Govee app I see all 10 devices (7 at home, 3 at club) although the uploaded image is only showing eight.Previous review of April 2023: A very dependable system.A month ago I set this up on our wifi and installed the sensors in the greenhouse. The sensors have never lost contact with the receiver and thatâs great because itâs been a problem with another brand. The app is great because itâs easy to use, As expected, I can travel and check greenhouse conditions from afar. The receiver has never lost the wifi connection despite power outages and wifi reboots. The temperature/humidity alarms are easy to set up. I just discovered a new feature writing this review- I can squeeze the timeline to the date range I want as shown in the second image. The Govee wifi thermometer has made it easy to monitor greenhouse conditions.
Solid product and support
I bought the hygrometer kit with gateway, 3 additional hygrometers and 2 desktop displays. The gateway will allow up to 10 devices to bind to it. I calibrated all the units to my digital thermometers (see pic). I placed the hygrometers in my shed, garden, crawl space, garage, and outside in shade which gets no sun. The displays I placed in the front and back of house for monitoring. Unfortunately the displays only give their temperature not the remote units. Definitely would be nice feature to have. After a couple of weeks one of the hygrometers went offline. I changed the battery and same thing happened. I wrote the company and they sent me not one hygrometer, but the whole kit again! I was amazed and the shipping was within 2 days of my message. Really happy with the product, very satisfied with the support.
Simple setup including connection to Alexa
I hate using smarthome apps. In fact, apart from the mandatory setup, I will never use them again. I connect everything to Alexa and ask it for the information what ever device I am interested in, including GoVee. The Govee temperature sensors seem to be well made and I have a high degree of confidence they will survive -30C freezes that we can get in Eastern Ontario. I can ask Alexa for most of the information that the Govee app provide (which is just the temperature 99% of the time)Set up in the Govee app is clean, easy and quick. Connection to Alexa is also very straightforwardRecommended.
Complete garbage
The biggest issue beyond being flimsy and seemingly as cheaply made as humanly possible, is the persistent connectivity problems. Most of the time, it’s not possible to establish contact with the sensors.The user interface looks like it would be slick but it’s just messy and annoying to attempt to navigate.Lastly, we had a minor flood in our basement after which the sensor that came in contact with water completely packed it in. And no, the sensor (before it died) did not alert that there was an issue.Waste of time and money.

These work good. Installation was simple. Have them to monitor our greenhouse and my garage to make sure the hot water tank doesnât freeze
