Absolutely a must! Saved my products!
I love this sensor for my chamber! It’s a must to have! Shows me average humidity and that is the most important thing!I can check anywhere outside home.The first day I installed it, coincidence happen to be. My extension cord tripped the reset button and shut down my chamber.. Luckily I was only away for a day and all my products survived, but what if I left for a week or two?? Not a chance! With this sensor I could check online daily, get alerts to my phone when temperature or humidity reaches to high or two low and maybe call a friend or family member to go check it out! Otherwise for a week or two my products would be all gone! This is a life saver!The app works fine, graphs work fine, wifi was very easy to set up, connected in the app and that’s it. I had to adjust humidity quite a bit and do calibration, because it was way off, but now most important I can see average humidity, temperature and see if there is something wrong with my chamber. Love it so far! Even just for alerts it’s completely worth it!
The app works great
This is a perfect product, it does exactly what I was looking for. The notifications based on temperature works perfectly and the app itself is nice and clean with well laid out charts. I will be looking for this brand for other products. It’s also very accurate and the device is professional looking.
Piece of mind
Installed in our cottage so we can monitor the temperature when we are not there. We installed an Amazon UPS so the internet will stay up during a power failure, our Nest thermostat goes off line and we wanted a back up temp sensor. This unit being battery has worked all winter and given us piece of mind. I just down loaded the app, synced to the wifi and no problems.
Works beautifully, but strange issue with Google integration.
The temperature and humidity are monitored perfectly in the app. Connects to the Google home system without issue. If you ask your home devices for the temp or humidity, they will tell you.The issue is when you go into the home app and look at devices, it only shows the temperature. When you go to automations to set one up, it only gives you the option of automating by humidity levels. It’s really strange.Not sure if it’s on the Govee end, or Google’s. Several other users were having similar issues in the Google forums.Also, it takes AAA batteries, is not rechargeable like the chart says. I didn’t want something solely battery operated, but this works so well despite the Google issue, I’ll deal with buying batteries.

Can receive temperature information in building and crawlspace anywhere as long as there is internet or close to monitor with bluetooth. Can tell when heat comes on, or dehumidifier. Temperature and humidity sensors are adjustable. Mine were spot on out of the box.Super simple to setup.

I am using it to monitor a heated workshop. Works well.
Product Failed
I purchased this device to warn of furnace failure (and potential of burst plumbing) at my cottage, which sits empty during the winter. The device resides in my cottage at room temperatures, so it is not facing extreme cold outsideDuring one extended leave it just stopped working, and upon return to the cottage I determined that it drooped the wifi connection and would not reconnect to the wifi/internet. I tried several times to reconnect, delete the device and re-install, and nothing worked.I contacted Govee support and they told me to change the batteries. The batteries in the device were strong but I changed them anyway. Still no connection after several attempts to reconnect.If you have a serious use (ie. detecting furnace failure, greenhouse monitoring, etc.) I would not use this device as it is not dependable. It can serve as an interesting albeit unintended paperweight however.Govee offered me a 20% discount on a new device. Let me think, I would save $10 but might pay thousands of dollars to fix frozen/burst pipes. Difficult choice.
