True to its name
First off, love that it came with a small spatula to prevent contamination from having to repeatedly dig my fingers into the jar. It is easy to spread and has a soft, natural fragrance. A little goes a long way. I’ve tried it on bug bites, minor cuts and scratches, and just generally irritated skin (after my second pregnancy, my skin has been more sensitive). It took away some of the itch from bug bites and healed and soothed all my skin ailments rather quickly, almost like magic! And although it is summer right now, the air conditioning has left me with dry patches on my face and this has been a great helper. I also don’t have to worry about using it around or on my 8 month old since it is a natural product.It’s not mentioned in the description, but I find that the texture and fragrance are perfect for massaging on pressure points to soothe headaches.

So soothing on a burn!
I burned my hand pretty badly on my oven and it wasn’t doing well until I started using this! I usually use another product but I’m trying to switch to natural products and honestly this has been such a good choice so far. My skin is also very sensitive but it’s been so soothing and my burn is so much less red than it was. Excited to see what it will do for bug bites and cracked winter hands too.

Soothing balm for skin irritations, a little goes a long way
This balm is very soothing for skin irritations, and I’ve found a little goes a long way since it melts into an oily consistency with body heat. It definitely does leave a bit of a greasy feel, but that is kind of the nature of a balm like this, so I don’t mind. My skin can be exceptionally sensitive, and this has been able to quickly smooth and calm irritated and reactive skin, especially on my chest/décolleté area, which seems to react poorly if I look at it wrong some days. It’s not a very large pot of product, but since you can use it fairly sparingly, the value is there.

Slight Smell, Slightly Greasy, But Not Terrible
As for long term effects, I can’t say if this ointment will damage my skin or anything, but for short term, it seems to work pretty well on dry skin. My hands have been peeling lately and I thought I’d give this a try. It seems to have made a difference, but that is anecdotal.The container is small enough that you can toss it in your bag without taking up a lot of space and a little goes a long way. When you first touch the ointment, it is a little firm, almost solid, but then it instantly softens and allows you to wipe off an amount that you need.For me, it leaves a greasy feeling though. I’m not sure I like it on my hands. It isn’t so bad on other parts of my body, but to use it and then start typing, I don’t like it. I can even see a slight sheen on my hands afterwards.There is definitely a smell to it. Not terribly offensive, but you can definitely smell it. It will take up a small room. It smells kind of household cleaner-like, but not necessarily chemical-y. Perhaps the best way to describe it is like an old strong bar of soap from the 70s-80s.For us scent sensitive people, you’ll probably want to use it in moderation.
