Reviews

  1. Very useful and good quality
Quality is great, kind of heavy but it can attach to the breast firmly and collect the milk. Very useful when breastfeeding

  2. Good
Works as intended. The silicone tends to become foggy after a few washes, but other then that nothing to say! There is a light suction when you squeeze them so it keeps them on your skin, but after 1-2 mins it falls of, maybe due to my breast shape/size. So I put it in my bra while feeding on the other side, not a deal breaker for me because I bought them just to collect the milk, not to apply suction.

  3. Great for on the go! They do not suction like the other haakaa
I don’t particularly use these at home that often. I find they come in handy most when I’m out and about and am getting full and have no way to empty my milk. That’s when I’ll plop these in my bra and let them catch the leaks while I finish my outting! I do find these can also be very helpful if you leak while feeding, just put in your bra and keeps baby from knocking it off. They do NOT hold or suction to your nipple alone, they have to be held there with your bra!

  4. Liquid Gold Saver!
Honestly, this product is simply amazing. I was suffering from milk letdown, I tried disposable breast pads, reusable breast pads, hakka. Nothing helped. I would sleep with a towel underneath cause I would wakeup everyday soaked from milk. With the Ladybird, I’m able to save so much milk with no effort at all & most importantly Im dry all the time and Im not suffering anymore! You can wear it during sleep, just make sure ure wearing a bra to hold it in place and if you plan on saving that milk, make sure you wake up to put it in the fridge before the 4 hour mark.Definitely worth the purchase!

  5. Maybe I don’t know how to use it…
I followed the instructions, but they didn’t really suck much and were really messy about the catching.I’ve since stopped using them and use another brand instead.

  6. Excellent Product
I cant express enough how happy I am with this milk collector. It is exactly what I was looking for. I breastfeed my baby, and I use them during feeds to collect the let-down milk. It fits under my bra and it doesnt spillSometimes I dont have time to pump, and this has helped me with my little milk bank.

  7. Little overpriced
The product does what it says. However it does feel u comfortable when its on due to how large it is. I only used it for 2 weeks then I didn’t touch it. I would suggest you buy 1 and not 2.

  8. So awesome
I wasn’t sure about these at first. I was worried it would be too much suction, or that they wouldn’t stay in place while I slept, or that they’d look funny in my bra, but these exceeded my expectations. I was confused on how to use them at first but they come with instructions and they were really helpful. The suction doesn’t induce labour at all. I wear a very light sports bralette from Woxer to bed and these cups stay in place and have caught my liquid beautifully. The bra I wear during the day is a padded push up and the cups were not obvious at all.Very happy with this purchase, and such a nice alternative to wasting my colostrum on pads.

  9. Extremamente maleável e macio

  10. Hands down THE BEST passive milk collector. This is the reason why I have a freezer stash. The ladybugs easily fit into any nursing bra (I personally like a comfy sleep bra) and I attach one on the opposite breast just before baby nurses. When breastfeeding/collection is complete, I then pour the milk from the ladybug by holding it in my palm and squeezing a little to create a V on the larger opening (where the nipple usually goes) into a glass jar, which is refrigerated. I’ve found pouring from larger opening instead of the smaller opening (on the top with a stopper) leaves less milk residue in the ladybug. Every drop is precious! When the refrigerated collection jar is full, I transfer the milk to a lasinoh milk bag and freeze. Totally optional step, I just find it easier to not have to pour milk into a floppy plastic bag every time. Side note: CDC hasn’t officially supported the practice of pouring body temp milk into a container of refrigerated milk. So to stay in line with cdc recs, you can add a few steps. Pour freshly collected milk into a container and refrigerate. After the next feed, pour the now chilled milk from the prior session into a milk bag, then pour freshly collected milk into the container. Refrigerate both the milk bag and the container. Repeat until the milk bag is full then freeze. The silicone from haakaa brand items is high quality and I trust it will not leach dangerous chemicals into my baby’s milk. I’ve used the ladybugs every day for 6m now and it is as good as new when I wash it. I wash it with unscented dish soap (7th generation free and clear) because the essential oil in scented dish soaps can leach into silicone products, imparting a soapy taste onto the milk.Side note: many moms swear by the traditional haakaa milk pump but I found that even when I secured it with the flip out method, it gets kicked off by baby or I knock into it with my elbow and inevitably, precious milk is spilled. Plus the haakaa pump provides a negative suction which stimulates breastmilk production. The haakaa ladybug is a PASSIVE collection device so there is no suction (if you don’t press on center before attaching) and therefore no additional stimulation on your boobs. Goodbye engorgement/overproduction!2024 Edit: I have heard good things about the Boon Trove! It’s cheaper and flatter, making it more discreet to wear under bras. I haven’t tried it yet, but will if I start the breastfeeding journey again with baby #2, and update this review.Photo taken with the two ladybugs and one Philips bottle nipple for size reference.
