Great for all the reasons other reviewers mentioned. There only thing is (and the reading sure me removing a star) they make my boobs sweat more than they already are… But at least they’re absorbent!
I wanted to love these pads and stop using one time use ones but only after using this for a month this happened . Just took them out the washer and this is what I see on one â¦. That looks like a mold. Garbage . Be careful yâall
I just gave birth a month ago and Iâve been wanting to try a more sustainable and economical option for nursing pads, so when I saw these I was intrigued. Iâm comparing them to the disposable ones Iâve been using.First of all, these are a good quality. Theyâre sturdy and well sewn, and the cotton is nice and soft. I find them to be absorbent and I like the waterproof layer being there for extra protection. Another nice aspect is that they come in two tones to match lighter and darker bras. I also appreciate the mesh laundry bag that came included; itâs a high quality bag and it held up in my washing machine just fine.The only con to this product is that there isnât any way to adhere them into your bra, so they inevitably move around, especially when nursing. This makes sense, of course, but it makes it difficult to quickly put your bra back on because you have to adjust them into the correct position first. I have to do this with the disposable pads as well, but because they have that adhesive to the, they tend to hold their place a bit better. So maybe some light Velcro or something like that would be a good improvement.Overall I like these pads and I find them to be very comfortable. That said I would recommend mothers that are newer to breastfeeding to practice with these at home before wearing them out as the fumbling around to fix their position could be stressful if you care about that kind of thing in public.
I’ve tried the disposable pads compared to these, and these are just so much better. The disposable ones are fine for every now and then, but at least the ones I got, are a little too thick and don’t feel that comfortable. I like that these have the absorbent side and a more silky, softer side that points towards your bra. These are fairly absorbent, but when you are leaking quite a bit, especially at the beginning (or when weaning), you’ll want to swap them out a bit more regularly. So it’s great that this set comes with 4 sets of pads.And a great added bonus is the bag they come in so that you can throw them in the wash. Plus, once you’re done, you can use that same bag to store them in. Definitely wash these quickly though. I made the mistake of waiting a bit longer than I should have, and well, of course, they didn’t smell great. I usually soak them if I’m not going to throw them in the wash right away and that helps.
